OK, here goes.
Between 2:20 and 3:30, you must visit every tribe linked to this class and post a reply to each of the topics your classmates started on Tuesday.
What sort of comment? What would be a realistic and accurate reflection of what's out there? Lots of random ranting, flaming and obscenity, often showing that the responder didn't even read the original post at all, is very common. We must do better than that.
Therefore, everybody needs to comment SPECIFICALLY on something in the initial topic post. The interface doesn't automatically quote the entire post when you hit reply, but it will be reproduced beneath the reply text window. Click on the provided link if you need to display the post in full.
Then, cut and paste a brief section of text from the post you are responding to, put it at the top of your reply window, and place quotes around it. Or, if you want to match a format common on the web, you may even add the following: "On Tuesday, March 25th, [name of moderator] said:" and then have the quote without quotation marks. But since we may imagine that who ever is reading your post just read the post you are responding to, just the quote in quotation marks will probably be enough.
Then write a paragraph commenting on the topic the tribe's moderator started on Tuesday. Be as irreverent as you like . . . just don't be abusive. Remember, we still have to face each other in class on Tuesday.
OK, so we've got about 21 tribes (don't forget Jonnie's tribe, he'll get angry) and 75 minutes. You can handle 3 minutes per reply, can't you?
;-]
I'll be checking my tribe inbox every few minutes, so send me whatever questions you may have.
