back when i was trying to keep track, i heard that there were somewhat regular gatherings of the burners and drummers in the Charlotte area. have ya made any contacts in the arts, fire arts, drumming, etc communities in the area? i've heard they're out there, 'thou all i've been doing lately is work, sleep, and the basics.

i just joined this tribe, but i think a lot of people meet up at Transformus, the regional Burn, and various gatherings related to it. However, I rarely have the time to join in, especially if it involves driving or several days. i'd love it if the locals could find a way to get together.

Sort of along those same lines, a friend of mine hosts an "inspirational potluck" every third Thursday, in Durham. It's open to all who are, um, open-minded about things spiritual. This week we're talking about healing energy, last time it was "The Secret", etc. There's also an informal group that mets on Tuesday nights in Raleigh. Anyone who's interested, message me for more info.
