Here's the latest update from the chilly hills of Dartmoor, getting in the fire wood and gearing up for a busy festive season. I am very excited to offer up the chance to establish a real rapport through ongoing sessions, something that is hard to do in large one off workshops. I love to dance to metal, industrial etc etc...I also do zills and sword work. <br/> <br/>Looking to possibly find someone to work on doing duet choreographies with, I really like to push boundaries and try new stuff...fusion all the way. I rarely dance to the typical bellyd ance music but I am open to that. <br/> <br/>I would like to do performances once we got some c horeographies down. <br/> <br/>Unfortunately I do not speak German very well so their may be a slight language barrier. <br/> <br/>I have studied turkish, tribal fusion, some ATS and gothic. <div>October 26 to 30,2009 <br/>15 students, 5 days class, 24h of learning dance, 2h of personnal work, 2 performances, 1 private talk and feed-back : that the format for the Master-Class. This will really help you to grow as a professionnal dancer. <br/>Sharon will teach 3h/day of technics, Heather will teach 3h/day of choreo. They, and other professionnals from the artistic skills (contemporary dance troup director, theater, management), will watch your 2 performances on the Thursday night student show (1 set will be the choreo taught by Heather, the 2nd will be a free variation of 3' max including technical movements taught by Sharon). Then you'll have a personnal and very supportive feed-back from them. It was a two way wish, so we have the pleasure to have Tjarda again in Croatia. Again there will be the opportunity to learn something different with Tjarda's unique approach... <br/> <br/>Biography: <br/>Tjarda is an accomplished dancer and trained teacher with a unique approach to bellydance. She has studied many genres of dance including Middle Eastern, modern, flamenco and mime as well as dance therapy and improvised movement. Fusing all of the above with her natural creativity, Tjarda delivers progressive choreography resonating within the world wide culture of movement. In March 2005 Tjarda became the artistic director and choreographer of The Uzumé, presently the leading Tribal Fusion bellydance company in Europe. As I am very petite, I’ve struggled to find a pair of tribal trousers that aren’t ridiculously long on the length. I managed to find a pair through the Melodia ebay store with a 27inch inseam. Whilst I love these trousers and they do fit on the length just about, I’m a bit concerned that after a little shrinkage they are going to be slightly too short. <br/> <br/>For this (very unfortunate) reason I’m trying to find them a new loving home where another petite person can finally have a pair of tribal pants that fit without the time and effort spent to make a pair themselves or have some custom made. <br/> <br/>They are BRAND NEW and have only been worn when trying them on to see if they fit. My name is Field and I studied Egyptian style bellydance for about four years before I discovered ATS bellydance about a year and a half ago. It has become quite a passion of mine and I also perform with an ATS student troupe at events in the Toronto area. I have been sewing for many years so I am quite enthusiastic about the costuming aspect of the dance. I love to travel and I am interested in connecting with other dancers from all over. I'm thrilled that ATS has traveled to all parts of the world, too. <br/>Last fall I had a brilliant idea which would combine my two loves. I am not originally from germany but was stationed their while in the military. Im no longer army but the husband is and he is being stationed in germany. No idea where in Germany yet...unfortunately. <br/> <br/>I am hoping to find a good instructor in germany as soon as possible once I arrive, and hopefully become involved with a troupe. <br/> <br/>My training so far has been tribal fusion. I also have a love for gothic aka dark fusion. Just started working with my sword, I bought her literally 2 days ago. <br/> <br/>Unfortunately my german is pretty bad..I definitely need to brush up on that, I feel disrespectful living in another country not being able to speak that language fluently, but all in good time. <br/> <br/>Im a proud mommy of a 2 year old! proud wife as well. November 2008, 12:00 – 16:30 Uhr <br/> <br/> <br/>WS-Gebühr: 40,00 € (keine Ermäßigung) <br/> <br/>In diesem Workshop geht es um die Grundlagen der Musikelisolationstechnik, wie sie von Suhaila Salimpour entwickelt wurde. Durch gezieltes Aktivieren bestimmter Musikelgruppen wird man in die Lage versetzt, Tanzbewegungen aller Stilrichtungen des Raqs Sharqi und des Tribal Style beeindruckend präzise einerseits aber auch stets gelenk- und rückenschonend andererseits auszuführen. Auf diesen Basics baut auch Suhailas legendäre Layering-Technik auf, bei der mehrere Bewegungen übereinander "geschichtet" werden. <br/> <br/>Teil 1: Hüftbewegungen - Hiplocks, Umis, Achten <br/> <br/>Im ersten Teil des Workshops beschäftigen wir uns mit den Bewegungen des Beckens. Im Warm-up werden durch gezielte Dehn- und Kraftübungen die dazu benötigten Muskeln aktiviert. Anschließend betrachten wir einzelne Basisbewegungen wie Hiplocks, Umis sowie Achten aus der "Suhaila-Perspektive". Zum Abschluss erlernen wir ein paar kleine Bewegungskombis, in denen wir die neue Technik anwenden. <br/> <br/>Teil 2: Oberkörperbewegungen - Brustkorbkreise, -lifts, -drops, Oberkörperwellen <br/> <br/>Der zweite Teil des Workshops ist dem Oberkörper gewidmet. Wir beginnen mit einem Warm-up, in dem der Schwerpunkt vor allem auf die Kräftigung und Dehnung der Bauch- und Rückenmuskeln gelegt wird. Im Anschluss daran lernen wir, diese Muskeln bewusst bei Bewegungen wie den Brustkorbkreisen, -lifts, - drops sowie bei Oberkörperwellen einzusetzen. Heather began her exploration of middle eastern dance in Chicago over ten years ago. Under the direction of Stephanie Barto, Heather became a founding member of “Read my Hips”. <br/> <br/>In 1999 Heather relocated to San Diego and began teaching classes in her unique approach to Tribal Bellydance. In late 1999 Heather´s vision became reality with her creation of Urban Tribal Dance Company. <br/> <br/>UTDC began as the first company in Southern California representing Tribal Bellydance. On it are a load of photos of tribal dancers, plus some non-tribal ones too. They could have come into my possession during an event I hosted with USA teachers, or through my visits over to the USA. <br/> <br/>From what I can gather, they were either taken by somebody who has travelled to the USA/Europe from the UK to visit an old school friend, or a USA/Mainland Europe person travelling to England - it's a little confusing! There is a photo of a message that says: <br/>"Dear Miss Deltzerwas. Here to visit her former Kindergarten Student from England" <br/> <br/>The date stamp is April 2006. <div>Carolena and Megha will be teaching for 3 days, more than 13 hrs during Gathering of The Tribes event in August, 2-4. <br/> <br/>The goal of the event is to get tribal dancers from all over the Europe together, share their love for this danceform and create new contacts. Why not just to group together, combine the yearly vacation with a great possibility to dance with Megha and Carolena in "exotic" country like Finland? <br/> <br/>The price of the WS is 200 euro - that makes about 15 euro/hour. Or the whole package including training and accommodation for 4 nights in the beautiful environment close to lake, including breakfasts, transportation to the place where the classes are held - and back, only 470 euro. Being comparing the prices I can say it's far more cheaper than any event around this topic in Europe this year. Workshop prices are normally around 20 euro/ hour and accommodation with workshops for the 4 nights can be 769 euro this very day.
