-=Stage Available to a Camp=-
Firefly is home to some of the best DJs, bands, and musicians in New
England and beyond, and this year we have already heard from many new
musicians excited to play for us. At Firefly 2007 there will likely be
several camps hosting musical performances, both with and without
amplified sound.
The Firefly site includes one fairly large clearing with a beautifully
constructed wooden stage, which in the past has served as the "main stage"
for the event. This year the stage area is available to be taken over by
a theme camp.
This is an ideal site for a fabulous camp, and it could be much more than
just a stage. Because it has been a public area in the past, whoever
takes it over will likely be approached by many performers who would like
to play there. It will be up to you to decide whether to host them. If
you do, you'll set your own guidelines for how to respond to their
scheduling and equipment needs. This could be a big responsibility, but
in return you'll have an awesome site and the chance to collaborate with
some amazing musicians. You may go down in legend for providing the
Firefly community with our best musical experience yet.
If you're interested, please write a brief proposal for what your camp
would like to do with the area, and why you feel you're the right camp for
the job. Please send proposals by May 1 to art@fireflyartscollective.org.
-=Volunteers Needed=-
Firefly happens only because everyone who attends helps to make it happen
~ think about how you might like to contribute this year. Are YOU the
perfect person to head up one of these committees?
