Mon, July 13, 2009 - 9:59 PMIf that spool valve has rings, you may just need to replace them; if not, you'll likely need to line bore the valve body & turn a new spool to match.
The easiest way to do that is to make a plug gage that just fits the cleaned up valve bore, and then make the spool match it.

Sat, July 18, 2009 - 12:16 PMThe spool only has water rings, I considered putting rings of some sort in the grooves, but the way the ports are set up, they would jam. There are no "bridges" between the ports, so the rings would pop out and get caught. I will just have to turn a spool at some point.
