This group was created with the intention of facilitating
communication within the Steampunk community in the Portland Metro
area.

In the past, we have relied on using Brass Goggles and Spare Goggles
for our communication about events and meetups. With the recent
problems at the Brass Goggles site, and not wishing to use up too much
bandwidth at the Spare Goggles site, we decided to create this group.

This is the place to post notices about upcoming events, meetups, and
to have general chat of interest to Portland area steampunks. Please
come in, take a look around, post your photo, add a link, put your
event on the calendar, and leave a message. We hope that this will
become a comfy spot on the Interweb for all!
