Favorite workshops?

I don't know about you guys, but I drool over every workshop that comes within, oh, a zillion miles. Money, of course, is tight (as is time) so I have to be choosy, even though it breaks my heart. That being the case, it's really valuable for me to know which workshops everyone's been to and loved.

So....who do you all consider a can't-miss workshop leader? Who inspired you, or, just as importantly, who's let you down? (I don't mean to imply that we should all trash anyone, but rather give a heads up if anyone didn't meet your specific tastes or expectations: perhaps you expected more fusion but got cabaret, or maybe you wanted hardcore drills but got super-simple choreography.)

I can kick this off by saying I went to a Zoe Jakes wkshp wknd in NC this past November, and she blew my mind. I really want to go to another one, even if it means passing someone else's workshop up. (And as you know, that's saying a lot.) She did lots of drills but also lots of dancing, some great short combos and a gorgeous, unusual choreography. She also started the weekend by asking what everyone wanted to learn, and then catered the final master class accordingly (so we worked on abs, isolations, pops/locks and achieving her particular blend of robotic fluidity. She did some really hard shimmy drills, too, and was murder on the lower body: worked the thighs and calves until they were useless stumps of quivering rubber. Class was lots of zany fun, but it felt good to work up a serious sweat and know I'd be sore as hell later.

How 'bout you? Who do you love?
