For me there are 2. One is Homestarr Runner's WiiWare game and the other is Dead Rising (its finally out of Xbox prison!)

E3 Conference Update

I'm not sure why, but I watched the entire Nintendo conference at E3 this morning. Thought I'd share some of the Wii news that came up:

- Shaun White Snowboarding: supports balance board

- Animal Crossing Wii: release this year! Looks pretty fun, classic Animal Crossing. In addition to the town, there's also a city to venture to. You can send messages to other people's towns, Wii message board, E-Mail and Cell Phone.

The "big" news about Animal Crossing Wii though, is that it will feature "Wii Speak" - a community voice chat accessory for Wii

- Wii Sports Resort: A new Wii Sports game!

The "big" news about Wii Sports 2 is that it will also feature support for Another new accessory: The Wii Motion Plus. The new Wii Remote Attachment improves Wii's motion sensing, so that every wrist flick motion is sensed in-game. Wii Sports 2 showed some jet skis, frisbee, and sword fighting

- Star Wars Attack of the Clones: Motion Lightsaber fighting!

- New Raving Rabids - with Balance Board support

- Call of Duty: New FPS game, features Co-Op and supports Wii Zapper

- And the "real big news" was Wii Music, available this Winter. It's not a rhythm game, but actually lets you pretend to play over 50 different instruments, play with friends, or record six different ones your self, compiling the song into a music video featuring Miis.

One of the cooler parts is that there are training and "advanced" modes, where they showed some weird looking dude drumming using the balance board for a foot pedal, and the Wii tracking his arms to where he played a virtual drum set, like it was set up all around him.

Pretty cool, but some people are really disappointed that this was all that came up.

What do you guys think? Anybody else catch it?

I borrowed it from a friend and am having a blast with it. It is easier than GH4 and IMO a lot more fun. I think it may be the blues based songs are just easier, but it is music from my generation and for me it is great fun.

Hey gang,
I finally figured out how to hook up the Wii to the 'Net. Duh. Only took me a year to figure out that all I had to do was 'erase all settings' and let the Wii look for Time Capsule all by itself. Double Duh.
Now I am thoroughly enchanted by all these fun channels, games, questions, Miis, etc.

I am also having a blast playing the original Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario World again. Makes we want to listen to Men At Work again. :-)

Anyhoo, my question is this:
I am a total Nintendork and always have been. I've only occasionally even seen the Playstation and XBox in action and have never played on either system. How does Nintendo's online interface compare with Microsoft's and Sony's?

Wireless Nunchuck

Anyone else bey the Nykko Kama Wireless Chuck? Not the one that hides your wire in the base, but the actual wireless one? Well, I did. I'm not very pleased with it. I'm actually gonna (try to) take it back tomorrow. It's OK (not great) when it's in direct line with the Wiimote, but if it even drops behind your leg it loses connect. Also, the stick and buttons both seem to "hang" sometimes (like my pinball flipper would hang in the up position). For a game that needs a lightning quick C button response (like HIstory of Pinball: Williams), it's terrible. Please let me know if anyone else gets one and has better luck. I accept that I might have got a lemon.

I am really enjoying this game. I was a big Zelda Twilight Princess fan, and this game is VERY similar. The main difference being (besides the graphics) the fact that you use the Wiimote like a paintbrush to draw or paint items in the enviornment to solve puzzles. One simple example is that you draw circles on a lake to form lilly pads to jump on. You also can cover enemies with ink or slash them with it. It feels alot like drawing the shapes in Rayman Raving Rabbids.
The graphics are the other draw. The game looks like a Japanese watercolor painting... cell shaded like Wind Waker was but not so cartoony. One of the prettiest games for Wii I have played.
I would say that if you didn't like Zelda TP then you probably wouldn't enjoy this game. Besides the paint brush mechanic, it's pretty much the same recipe in a different package. A $40 package.

Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Collection

Here's the skinny: If you hate pinball, you will hate this game.
BUT
If you love pinball (or even just enjoy a casual affair with it), this is the best $30 you can spend on the Wii. The controls are awesome and the graphics are excellent. You use the B and Z triggers as your flippers. You pull the nunchuck stick back and release to start the ball, only pulling back part way with some of the bonus skill boards. You move the Wiimote and Chuck in ANY direction you want to nudge the table. It feels right.
The other cool things (for old farts like me) is each of the 10 tables are exact replicas of real Williams tables. There were 6 that I remembered playing on as a kid. As you would imagine, they have included info on each table as well as a photo of the retail flyer for each. Of all my multiplayer fare, this is by far the most popular game I have (which is sad, considering I have SSBM). Friends have been coming over and asking to play!

I think this is a pretty neat game. It's a lobotomized RPG--my favorite kind! I hear the game is super short, but I'm only about an hour and a half in. You get no freedom of movement--you just kind of move forward or backward on a rail, and occasionally make decisions to branch left or right. Random encounters pop up on the trail which ends up being like Whac-A-Mole: The RPG Experience. But it's kind of fun!

Mosnters fly out at you in various formations--sometimes in horizontal, vertical, or diagional lines...so you have to slash to try and whack them all in one slice. There are also spells, items, and super moves you can perform. It's really ridiculously simplistic, but I like it. The in-town navigation is kind of a pain as this game doesn't use the nunchuck--you have to use the D-Pad to awkwardly stumble around the city.

Maybe it's not worth full price given it's rumored length, but I think the game is kind of cool!

Anyone get this? It's only $30! I never played the Gamecube or PS2 version of this so I was kind of stoked to check out the "Wii Controls" for this game that EVERYONE raved about.

So far I'm a little addicted. The camera is a kind of a pain in the ass, but other than that they do pretty well with the use of the Wii Remote / Nunchuck combo.

If anyone else got this, or played the other version let me know what you think of this new Wii Version.

So this is slightly off topic, and I didn't want to hijack the other thread. Anyone else use gamefly? I've been using them for almost 2(?) years now and I'm still really happy with them.

To answer some questions, no, I usually don't have to wait weeks on new releases. And the ship time is usually 2-3days. (I Live in Washington). When I lived in California it was awesome, cause it was like 1 day turn around. But I'm usually pretty happy with Gamefly. It's also a great way for me to try my Wii games that I might not consider buying.

favorite place to buy games online? offline?

I'm a big fan of purchasing locally or from the "little guy", but it doesn't seem like that's all that possible these days. I live in Oakland, and so my choices are pretty much:

offline:
* game stop

online
* games universe
* amazon

Does anyone else have any preferred ways to get their games? Amazon usually wins out because of their swift shipping, but I don't particularly like them as a company. I'm also not a huge fan of Best Buy, since I don't like their policy of checking receipts and looking through bags.

You would be much better off getting Crazy Taxi for the gamecube, and probably at a similar, if not cheaper price.

The controls suck, the graphics suck. It tries very hard to be crazy taxi (which the wife and I loved, btw) but it fails. I was really rooting for it, too, with the promise of crazy taxi with wiimote steering....

Wii Sports: Boxing - totally broken control system so why am I so hooked?

I've been a gamer since the original NES. I bought a Sega Genesis as a kid and then a SNES as a teen. I played those systems until I bought a PS2 a few years ago.

I Bought a Wii after Thanksgiving and have been using the system as supplementary exercise every morning for half an hour. I love Wii sports though I am not what might be considered a "casual gamer" in most respects so I'm less forgiving of some of the flaws in the games than others might be.

That said, I love Wii Sports Boxing. This game is totally broken. The control is the main problem. Unresponsive, arbitrary, sometimes outright wacky. One never knows when they jab if it will come out as a dodge, a hail-Mary round house punch, an uppercut or nothing at all. Dodging left and then right quickly sometimes produces a whole flurry of unanticipated punches and using the nun-chuk to get in a left hook is next to impossible. Most rounds are won or lost based on luck of the draw depending on whether the controllers decided to throw in extra punches just at the right time or leave you standing, slack-jawed while you are pummeled like play-doh while you frantically whip the controllers around like a drummer in a butt-rock band during a solo. Forget about getting in targeted blows where you aim for the jaw or kidneys, it's amazing if you can aim your blows well enough to hit your opponent's head or torso.

Strangely, I still really like this game. I play every morning and get my heart rate up and my day started. I stopped relaying on coffee to wake up with, most days the mild adrenaline boost from trying to get the game to function in my favor gets me up and out the door. I learn to control my frustration and become the calm collected center of my own personal world. "I am Jack's autonomic system." I'm very Zen about this game. I actually think the out of control feeling of the game makes it feel more like real fighting. After all, when you are actually being whittled into kindling it's hard to do much more than flail helplessly and pray you accidentally hit something before you become unconscious. This game would be too easy if I was always allowed to do as I intended every time I attempted an action. I like that there seem to be nearly equal number of women as men exploring the effects of rag-doll physics on my hapless (and armless) little polygon avatar. Most of all, I think I like that I clearly have a VERY long road ahead of me if I ever want to beat this game. I can use the exercise.

Has anyone picked up the new Wii Zapper bundle? I picked it up today at my local GameStop. They had 3 copies left when I got there after work. I love the hell out of it. I'm not sure what the controls are like on either of the Resident Evil games on Wii, but I can see this being an awesome peripheral for first person shooters. Let me know what you guys think if any of you are lucky enough to get one.

I picked this up a couple of days ago, and I really like it. It's relaxing and very easy on the eyes. It is basically a laid back scuba simulator. You just swim around exploring and gathering treasure. Definately great for those times when you want to chill out and not worry about killing or dying. Great for kids, too. Very educational.

Popped this into the Wii over the weekend....Love to hear other people's experiences & opinions, but me & the BF weren't very impressed with the gameplay.

The graphics are pretty and the controls are...different. It was obviously made by a team heavily influenced by Japanese manga to which I have to ask, is anyone else sick of big-eyed cute characters with impossibly styled hair? While the concept (being in a world of dreams) is fraught with imaginative possibilities, the reality is marred by a distinct lack of same. The baddies, from Nightmare, are called "Nightmarens", and they seek to destroy the paradise city of "Nightopolis". How pedestrian.

Anyways, we're sending it back to Gamefly after one gaming session. If we missed the point, or didn't give it enough chance to shine, I'd love to hear so.

Furry hugs

T.

Super Paper Mario vs. Super Mario Galaxy

Anyone buy Super Paper Mario yet? I've been playing it for a couple days now, and let me tell you, it is very addicting. You start out playing as Mario, but then you get the option of playing with Peach and Bowser (I'm hoping Luigi later on). Bowser is actually a good guy in this one! Mario has the ability to go from 2d to 3d, which makes the game more interesting and you can see more hidden items that way. In order to be able to do special moves, such as ground pound, becoming paper-thin, blowing stuff up, etc, you have to find "pixl" buddies. The game is different from the other Paper Marios because there are no badges and it does not have the RPG battle system. The story line is one of the better ones. I also have Super Mario Galaxy, and I like Super Paper Mario much better. Super Mario Galaxy is somewhat difficult because for each level you go to a different planet and have to do some of your battles upside-down. I like the option of using a second player to help collect star bits and shoot enemies, but that is all the second player can do. The second player can't collect coins or anything else. And you actually have to walk to the coin before it disappears to collect it, whereas in SPM you automatically collect the coins when you defeat the enemies or jump at the coin block. Haha--am I a lazy gamer or what?!? You also don't have items you can use in SMG to increase HP---you do this by collecting coins. Which makes it more difficult to stay at a safe HP level. And the story line in SMG is lame...so far anyway...I have only played three galaxies because I haven't played it since I started SPM.

Umbrella Chronicles is headed straight back to GameStop. Didn't. Like. At. All.
The problem that I, and many others, had with all REs prior to 4 was the movement mechanism. The patented 'human tank' lameness which just doesn't work with FPS. But here they have taken something even more precious away from the player: The ability to move at all.
Having the entire game be a rail shooter just sucks. And the fact that this is not mentioned at all anywhere on the box, the publisher site, or the booklet shows that the gamemakers knew it.
Take the controls from RE4 and move them all over the controllers to strange and awkward places. Then make the game confusing, disorienting and just unbelievably difficult from the outset.
Yes, on "easy." What I loved about RE4 was the adventure and the exploration. If I want a !@#$%^ shooting gallery - I'll go play Duck Hunt.

I know there is a Wii code master list, but I don't see how I can communicate unless I know who has copied my Wii code into their address book.

This game was in my queue at GameFly and showed up in the mail last week. I would say that it is an amusing diversion, but it seems a little rushed in its execution -- it lacks the breadth, scope, and graphics of some of the better games. The game is linear with very little free exploration, and (so far) no ability to tackle challenges out of the predefined order, so I'd call it a swashbuckler-on-rails.

However, my BF (who is a bit dyslexic and has difficulty with complex wiimote control actions) actually likes this game better than, say, Metroid Prime Corruption because the controls are easy for him to remember: left hand moves the character, and just flail your right hand every which way to attack.

So, I'm glad to have it, but we probably won't miss it once it goes back.

Has anyone else purchased a copy of GH3 for Wii? I did last night at midnight at my local Game Stop and let me tell you, it's worth every penny and then some. I played the last 2 guitar heroes on PS2, but this one blows it away. The fact that I can play other people via Nintendo WFC rocks hard. You can also sign up on their website, www.guitarhero.com , and become ranked in whatever section you like. If you have a copy, message me with your friends code and we'll play one another.

My husband and I decided to get a Wii for Christmas instead of buying each other gifts. That's really the only thing we can think of that we really want. HOWEVER I found out that Wii's are VERY hard to find. That was news to me. I looked online and the only Wii that seems to be available is the bundle, which is a whopping $550-$600. May be worth it, but I still don't want to spend that much and I don't need that much stuff.
I think it's a bit suspicious that suddenly I am seeing all these Wii commercials and the only Wii I can find comes in a bundle...plus it's the holidays... Is Nintendo trying to do something here?
It just sucks because I really really want one and feel like a six year old sitting on Santa's lap.
Any ideas/tricks?
Please don't recommend ebay. I would have no idea what I was doing as far as the auction thing goes and I don't trust it. I have a connection who works at Wal-Mart and she says there's a lady that somehow finds out when the Wiis come in, brings in her family and friends, each one buys a Wii, and they sell it on ebay for $500. They do this at all the stores in the area.
Am I allowed to cuss on here???

Two great Wii deals. Act TODAY!!!

Okay, that's a spammish headline, but you all need to know about what Toys 'R Us has got going on.

Super Mario Galaxy is $49.99, but through tomorrow, when you buy it you receive a $25 gift card, so that brings the price to $24.99!

On top of that, a promo will begin on Sunday, with a buy 2 get 1 free on Wii games. (It might include others, but I don't know). So, if you go today and buy Super Mario Galaxy and TWO additional games, you'll pay $150 + tax. Bring the receipt back on Sunday and they'll give you back $50 because you "didn't know" about the upcoming promo. :-p

So go jump to it! Go buy a few games and get $75 off!

I did preorder on Super Mario Galaxy at EBGames.com at some point after I did the pre-order they attached a second item to my order, a cheap ass plastic "collectors coin" for the game that probably cost 1/100th of a cent to produce in China. Well, guess what, that coin is backordered and as a result my game hasn't shipped. It's unbelievable.

I called their customer service and spent OVER two hours on hold waiting for somebody to pick up before I finally just hung up the phone. I can't believe they get away with this crap. Seriously.

I'm heading to Best Buy after work and I'm going to pick up a copy. No shipping charges, no stupid back order policies for freebies I didn't ask for.

I'm having a great time with this game. Especially in Multiplayer. The controls have been spot on so far. Easiest way to describe it: Wii Sports and Rayman Raving Rabbids had a very pretty "love-child". Warning: several of the events are very challenging.

Hey guys, I'm back again. Finally got another Wii after having to sell my old one. Now I have Wi-Fi as well :) I want to know what games are good to play over the net, how to, and what games as well. Also, I have a DS, so I'd be interested in playing games with you guys there as well. I have the new Zelda and Animal Crossing Wild World, I know both can be played over the net.
Peace,

We're thinking our next game will be a flight one. Now, before you all lambast every flying game out there and tell us to wait til such and such comes out, consider our perspective. We want something FUN, we like Excite truck because I score more points for crashing, we love Raving Rabbids because it's insane, and there are two kids in the house(10 and 12) who will want to play. So which game could we get? It doesn't have to be accurate or have a perfect interface, it just has to be fun.

Here are everyone's codes in one place. Also I'm on vacation so I haven't checked tribe that often, so if you've added me and I haven't added you back send me a message. I've been slacking on my Wii duties! Anyways I thought this list would be pretty helpful so we all don't have to go searching.

Current Wii Codes:

Wii user survey

I got this note today, so if you can help the guy out, do the survey:

Hi there
I am finishing a PhD at USC here in LA, and one of the things I study is how people interact with different sorts of gaming and media environments. I think there may be a special place set aside for me in geek heaven.
Anyhow, I have designed a measurement of how people experience the Wii environment, and I wonder if you would consider putting the link to it on the tribe page?
the email link to it is:
www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx

and the html code to get there is:
<a href="www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx Here to take survey</a>

the more responses I get, the better the math works, so I would REALLY appreciate your help.
Thank you thank you thank you!

Sean
Blazing Angels

Just a shout out for Blazing Angels. I am halfway through the campaig mode and I already can't wait to go back and do it all over again. Intuitive controls without the flailing-like-a-spaz that has derailed many a Wii-gimmick game. Mostly you the nunchuk to turn and fire both weapons which just feels more 'right'. It's all in the wrist. The remote is used for camera, brake, repairs, and everything else. Works really really well.
The gameplay is immersive without being too complicated or overly story-driven. The planes each have their own characteristics, and yes, you can take-off and land, just like in Pilot Wings.
Also there is 'arcade' mode which just drops you into the middle of a dog fight with twelve enemies and a timer. Each kill buys you a little time. Clear the skies and the next wave appears. Simple, challenging, fun. What Nintendo is all about.
More as I find stuff, but just thought I'd toss out some props for a 'port that actually kicks ass.

Game Shares?

I'm just wondering if anyone in the tribe would want to do game sharing at all? Between us, I'm betting we have enough people in various areas to be able to do swaps of games you have sitting around for ones others do, either permanently or temporarily.

I've got Super Paper Mario sitting there all lonely, currently.

Anyone game?

Manhunt 2 in trouble!

It looks like we might NOT be getting Manhunt 2... don't be jealous of PS2 owners, they might not get it either.

Yesterday the ESRB gave Manhunt 2 a rating of AO (Adults Only) meaning NO ONE under 18 can buy the game. Today Nintendo announced that it WILL NOT carry any AO rated content. After roughly an hour, SCEA (Sony) announced the same. So as of now Rockstar and Take-Two have 3 choices:

1) Cancel the game
2) Chop up the game and get an M Rating
3) Appeal to the ESRB

Man... I'm never going to know what it feels like to kill with a Wii Remote.

Scarface

First off, I have not played this on any other systems, as I had Godfather (PS2)

It is similar to Godfather and the GTA games as far as basic design, and takes place after the Scarface movie ends.

Tony Montana must start out with nothing and regain control of his city, via small missions.

It is quite similar to Godfather, except you do not extort businesses, you buy and sell coke. As well, you can hire guys to work for you, such as a driver (who will deliver any car you own to you within moments of calling him via your satellite phone, an arms dealer which works the same way, but with weapons, although they must be retrieved from your gun cabinet at home or from the trunk of any of your cars. One can also purchase an assassin, which opens up specific missions. There are a couple of more that escape me, such as the guy that delivers you boats you have purchased.

Wii controls are rather straight forward, and so far it does not seem that they put any effort into wii-specific controls, such as in Call for Duty or Godfather. i.e. no turning the key and pulling it to arm a bomb, or swinging the wiimote to throw a punch. The plus to this is that you don't have to learn gestures which may or may not work well.

The graphics are decent for the Wii, and as I stated before, I cannot compare them to any other version. Any complaints are rather minor, such as big sausage fingers, moments when seams on the models act a bit strangely showing little white dots along peoples faces.
There is not as much a problem with things like oncoming vehicles popping into existence as they enter the foreground as one might expect, especially after playing Spider-man 3.

Sound is good, and you are given the option of creating a custom playlist from the songs available (which strangely includes Ministry and Rob Zombie) which brings me to one of my only beefs so far: They did not seem to work very hard on keeping this game a period piece. There are ATMs, modern slang (I don't think they said "get my eat on" in '83...) as well as other items.

I don't think I will bother trying for a 100% with all the collectibles and such, but it is definitely fun enough that I will finish it.

I made the mistake of buying red steel, the controls are really really bad on this game. I read a review saying the same, but I thought that I would be able to get it tuned in with the aiming sensitivity option. there are three to pick from high, medium, low, and they all suck.
I'm going to give it a little bit more of my time, and if I can't get into it, I'm selling it. anyone else buy it?

I've seen this posted on a few gaming blogs, and just thought I'd share it over here.

Gamefly is offering a free Wii if you sign 5 friends up for their service. So, if you give 5 of your friends the $10 for one month of service, even when they immediately cancel, you get a Wii. I can't tell if you also have to be signed up, but that makes some sense, so its probably a $60 Wii in actuality.

http://friends.gamefly.com/

I'm thinking of doing it to get one as a gift for a friend. =D

I rented this game a couple nights ago, and its pretty fun! The motion controls, while a bit odd here and there, are still fairly immersive, and it is nice to play a bit more "adult" of a title on my little white machine.

Its pretty much Grand Theft Auto, with more direction, and you get to be a mobster under Don Corleone! Extorting businesses, taking over rackets and warehouses, doing hits...not to mention the better clothes you buy, the more respect you get for them! Pretty fun, and good to see a port that wasn't super lazy about it. =)

This past Friday we threw a bit of a party at our house. Lots of people showed up - friends, and friends of friends. Many of the people I knew, several of them I did not. The next day I walked out through the living room and realized something was missing - yup, my Wii was gaffled. Needless to say I'm very disappointed that this type of person made their way into my household, but priorities now are on trying to recover my shiny little Wii.

Has anyone heard of any method to track a Wii when it's connected to the net? I would think it wouldn't be too terribly difficult, since it's always in touch when there's a connection around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's a lot of fun. I haven't played for scoring but I've played the party games with my roommates and we had a blast. The only real drawback that I could see is that you have to have four players. Even if there's just one human playing, you have to play with 3 computer models which really irks me. I'm not all that coordinated and it's a real pisser when the computer beats me. Surprisingly enough, it's even worse when it's obvious that the computer is letting me win... : (

I'm looking for a fun racing game for the Wii in the same vein as "Mario Cart" for the GameCube. Anyone have any experience? I don't need realism, I want FUN, so cartoon cars and buggies are ok, but extreme realism that can lead to frustration is not.

Whack a Mole for the Wii?

We finally got a Wii a few weeks ago and the first thing my wife asked was if there was a Whack a Mole game for it. I have to say it seems like an obvious game for the Wii, but I haven't found one (but I haven't looked very hard, either).

Does anyone know if such a game or something very similar exists?

Thanks in advance!

Dana

P.S. I'm new to this tribe just today - Hi Everyone!!!!!

Most Anticipated Virtual Console Games

hello by the way, i am fairly new but i am blowing you guys up with post and responses. All Hail the Wii.

On to Buisness, What games are you all most looking forward to on the virtual console. I can't wait for all of the old Metroids and Castlevania games (1 2 and 3 for NES) I got super Castlevania but it's far from being my favorite. I would say Megaman but i still have my collectors edition for Gamecube that has all the nes titles on it. Oh yeah Wizards and Warriors 1 and 2.

Gimme some feedback.
PS wonder why you can't get GBA games. I guess since the DS still plays them.

Well it's up--I just installed it. This is the first thing I *REALLY* like on the Wii. I'm surprised Google never did anything like this by merging their Google News with Google Earth/Maps. Anyway--zipping around the globe checking out stories on my big TV with the Wiimote is definitely more comfortable than reading news on my desktop PC. The interface is really innovative--surprisingly not a gimmick at all. Seems light on the international news though--also it would be nice if it told you what the top story was (maybe some text under the stack o' papers) for each region you hover the cursor over. That would be slightly more convenient than clicking on each story stack to see what's in it.

Wii-Mote Problems

Over the last day or so I have ran into a problem with my Wii-mote. A month ago or so, my original batteries died in the wii-mote. It caused my wii-mote to lose sync with the Wii. After searching on the Internet and a new pack of batteries, I finally got it re-synced.

Well, yesterday I had just finished playing Wii-Sports (9 homeruns in the home run derby, bitches) and had just returned to the main page; all of a sudden, my cursor leaves the screen and I lose sync with the Wii again. This time, the batteries were perfectly fine (I had just seen that the batteries were full and they are Duracell) and the LED lights still flash...but it will not sync up. I have reset all the synced ones on the Wii, but nothing seems to work. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have a good idea of what to do besides send it to Nintendo with a tear stained letter? Thanks....(by the way, how long does our warranties last, just in case?)
