HEY EVERYONE ITS YOUR FRIENDLY PIP-DA-HIP!!!!!!! HOPE ALL IS WELL IN YOUR LITTLE WORLD....JUST POSTING MORE INFO AND REMINDERS ON REGIONAL RAINBOW HAPPENINGS IN EASTERN WASHINGTON.

03/07/10 we did head out to the woods towards Usk Washington this past weekend and did some scouting and met up with family that have land boarding the national forest were we are scouting....Good news guys there is a spring that runs right to the site and the owners of the cattle in the area are in touch with local family and from what i was told is that it would no be a problem to keep the range animals out and away from the spring area while we are there..it is national forest and there has been a gathering in or near the same area we are looking back in the 80's.this area is very well know for "hippies" and rainbow that common the area and live here and have regular barter fairs....i was even told the area we were scouting was referred to as Hippie Hill. More good news there are 2 towns near by with grocery stores and library and other local things we may or may not need. The closest 'city" is Spokane Washington which is about a hour a way. i myself reside in spokane and it is a great city but still has a very small mind mentality..so lets not scare those who we will be asking help from. Lets be respectful and keep things clean in and out of the woods....i know we can have a wonderful gathering and hopefull if all goes well mabey this can become a yearly thing...if i forgot to tell you guys anything i will add to the posting later. thanx and i welcome your comments and suggestions....*pippie and some of the H.F.M kids*

intergalactic rainbow ,mexico

WE FOUND IT!
RAinbow included
amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazin g place
3 huge rivers
1 really big where there is river side camping, pretty much eveybody
can camp on the river, then it extends into the second cristal blue
river that emanates from a rock!!!!!! its unbelievable, the rivers
starts gushing straight from the rocks sourounded by caves, and
stalakites, cristal clear pure water, enough for 1000 generations,
its really a celestial place. there are tons of huge pools, and one
that seems like a sanctuary really sacred grounds. Its one of the
most amazing natural wonders i have ever seen. its boggling to see a
cascade come out of a rock! the area is really surreal.
then the cirle can hold around 5000 people at least, holding hands
perfeclty flat, sourounded by the main river. camping can be along
the river, on the main grasslands or in the jungle.
there are no ticks, though at the santuary there are mozzies.
there is a parking spot that can hold about 300 cars easy and is by
the river.
And last but not least is that the land is for sale.
so a community can be formed.
just the water alone is an amazing eternal wealth.
and the beuaty of the spot is priceless, yesterday as we were coming
back, it started raining, as we were wondering if too keep on
looking and just then a rainbow appered pointing to the spot.
hence divine intervention!
We also went with a super amazing crew, and made some music for the
people. We told them what we wanted to do and they were very exited.
so there is welcome from the owners of the land and the recently
emerging miny comunity that is about 5 km from the place, it is very
remote. no people in the area, good privacy.
there is a medium size town about 90 min away, and a full on city
(las choapas) about 150 min away.
So there is a lot of abundance of water and land.
land here is stil pretty cheap.
though i havent closed a price with the owner, he is open to
negotiate and even more if we do what i hope we can make out of it.
We are planing to start the seed camp dragon portal 30 november, and
plant watermelons, tomatoes, cabbage and all kinds of veggies, that
will hopefully give fruit toward the end of the gathierng. We foudn
a horse cart to bring the food in, there are also some canoes. and
we have pots and stuff for the seed camp. though it would be nice to
get in some cool seeds, and people to work in the SEED CAMP
(literally)
We also want to work on the kitchens and some cob building, and
whaetver we need to organize for x amount of people.
the actual gathering will start (Portal resonating dragon) 29 of
january, let me know what you think we havent sealed the dates yet
though we are about to!
hope you are happy, we will compose an oficial invite these days,
but youc an pass it on.

Organic Caravan is an interactive village-display touring European music festivals this summer. We are sponsored by European companies who seem to be more gung ho about sponsoring the arts, which is okay by us! We will be meeting near Heidelberg, Germany in late May, and will begin touring in June.
The Caravan will include:

LOCATION:
The event will take place north of Chiapas, Mexico. Close to a village
called Ostuacan.
Camping is on the shores of a deep river, where swimming is fantastic.
Nearby is the Chichonal Active Volcano, that in it's crater holds a lake
with emerging volcanic hot water, an unforgettable experience. (swimming
is possible with a bit of common sense and taking certain precautions)
There will are also many beautiful horses, and a few excursions will be
arranged, though we cant guarantee that everyone will be able to take
part in this activity.
We use horses to transport the baby trees to their location minimizing
our carbon emissions.
The event is non-commercial, and is free for all, we maintain a
vegetarian food diet, basic maintenance choirs should be shared equally
by all those attending.
We count on donations to feed everyone as well as support from
environmental institutions, we also raise funds through the shows we
offer in the communities. ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
We consider essential to compliment the reforestations with
environmental education initiatives thus helping raise awareness of the
importance of planting trees and conservation. We work together with
governmental and nongovernmental organization to help monitor the trees.
We organize plantations in schools accompanied by the students, in this
case we prefer to plant fruit trees which also helps the students to
have fresh fruits right in school, this being specially very beneficial
in low income villages.

Why reforest

Reforestations are essential activities to help revitalize the health of
the Earth and combat climate change. Today around the world the
deforestation has grown to an alarming rate exceeding by far the index
of reforestations, this brings catastrophic consequences to the
atmosphere as well as for other organisms that's depend on these forests
for habitat..

We have but a short time to avert damaging and economically debilitating
climate change. We also have all the economic, intellectual and
technological know-how to head off this calamity and avoid the
disruption and misery that inaction would entail.
The solutions are numerous and, as many economists say, affordable when
compared with the costs of complacency.

Globally, forest cover is at least one-third less than what it once was.
It is time to reverse the trends, it is time to act.

Climate change confronts us now. There is no longer conjecture or debate
around an abstract or hypothetical future. We need action. We need to
plant trees and in doing so send a signal to the corridors of political
power across the globe that the watching and waiting is over â€"
that countering climate change can take root via one billion small but
significant acts in our gardens, parks, countryside and rural areas.

Our reforestation programs.

Our innovative reforestations combine the plantation of trees fused with
a multicultural events, workshops and temporary ecologically friendly
living spaces that last from a few days to several weeks. This promotes
reforestation events not only as necessary duty of each individual to
combat climate change, but coordinating a culturally appealing and
spiritually earthbinding.

Through the reforestations and creative activities and workshops we
intend to generate a deep and lasting effect, as much for the local
communities as well as for the participants and simultaneously create a
forest or of fruit orchard that can also help as nutritious source of
food of the communities, as well as to absorb carbon dioxide emissions
which are exceeding on our planet.

Another key point is the life and direct experience of participating in
an temporal ecological community with all the benefits and complications

Temporary ecovillage habitat.

Participants have the opportunity to offer workshops with a cultural or
ecological focus, like for example: Acoustic Music, permaculture, cob
brick building, African Dance, collective Intelligence, consensus and
facilitation, handcrafts from recycled materials, Horse maintenance and
care, temascal (sweat lodge), Maya calendar, African percussion, yoga,
martial arts and capoeira

In order to be able to live in this communal space that hosts a
considerable amount of people, it is necessary to distribute the work
equitably. For that reason we created the energetic administration that
equilibrates workload. Which is vital in successfully maintain an
organic community in a natural context.

In the morning, after the breakfast we form a circle of discussion where
people take responsibility for choirs and activities. The tasks are
distributed according to the amount of people that attend, divided by
the amount of necessary activities.
Usually during or after every reforestation we take the time to organize
a show for the village, that combines ethnic music, dances and many
acts. We also use the space and time to respectfully transmit ecological
messages.

This innovative initiative seeks to venture into new way of creating
events without a negative impact to environment, as well also to raise
awareness in the participants and the local communities, on the
importance of reforestations and sustainable development in a creative,
dynamic, attractive and effective method.

Panama rainbow DIRECTIONS

Ok folks below is my translation and the original in spanish follows....
From Panama city go to the Terminal(bus station) and take a bus to the town of Penenome.(about a 2 hour ride)From Costa Rica border take a bus to David and then another to Penenome(about 4-5 hour ride)...
Ok from the public bus terminal in Penenome take a bus(sometimes called la "chiva") to Boca De Tucue. It costs $1.70. I believe the bus leave there between 8-10AM and from 1-4PM. Once you arrive in Tucue ask for the woman Tita in the store. She will show you the road to walk, but also look for rainbow signs,colors,etc. continue past the little gate and cross the river either by crossing stone to stone or remove
your shoes and get into it. Past the river there is a wonderful family and a very kind person named Daniel. Here is the site and I suppose it is safe to say WELCOME HOME!!!

Also, In Penenome you may take a bus(about 15minutes or so) to a Eco-resort called La Iguana and there will be people there who can connect you with other folks and/or help you find your way.

In the original directions it does not say how far the walk is. I will call Swami and ask him and update y'all.
Penenome is a nice small town with everything you need(internet cafes,hardware stores, grocery stores,etc) so I suggest buy the things you really need there prior to taking the bus.

Scenes of jubilation greeted the Botswana High Court's ruling today in favour of the Kalahari Bushmen.

The court ruled today that the Botswana government's eviction of the Bushmen was 'unlawful and unconstitutional', and that they have the right to live on their ancestral land inside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

The court also ruled that the Bushmen applicants have the right to hunt and gather in the reserve, and should not have to apply for permits to enter it.

One of the judges, Justice Phumaphi, said the government's refusal to allow the Bushmen to hunt 'was tantamount to condemning the residents of the CKGR to death by starvation.'

However, the judges also said that the government is not obliged to provide services to Bushmen in the reserve.

Bushman spokesman Roy Sesana said outside the court, 'Today is the happiest day for us Bushmen. We have been crying for so long, but today we are crying with happiness. Finally we have been set free. The evictions have been very, very painful for my people. I hope that now we can go home to our land.'

Survival's director Stephen Corry said today, 'The court's ruling is a victory for the Bushmen and for indigenous peoples everywhere in Africa. It is also a victory for Botswana. If the government quickly enacts the court ruling, then the campaign will end and the country really will have something to be proud of.'

The court case has been the longest and most expensive in Botswana's history.
