well, i walked my talk and spoke up instead of dancing around the "no" this weekend.

there are many times, i keep quiet (restraint of pen and tonque) when i need to be more assertive. last night was one of those "tests". i was asked to compromise the integrity of our WR presence at the phil lesh show by having t-shirts available for the rats. i had in the past allowed this to happen because the coordinator was the one who asked me to "have them "available".
uncomfortable as it was, i said no to "my boss" in the politest, non politcally possible way realizing i probably sealed my "non" presence at any more shows.

it doesn't matter if people are in recovery or not. opportunists abound. but i felt the integrity of the group as a whole was more important than abiding by this person's wishes.

and, at least i know i made the right decision. and, that's all that matters. it was a no win situation. stuck in the middle. so i made my stand..

in the end, it will work out. it always does. just a little uncomfortable right now.

every day, i need to do just one thing i don't want to that is tangible. that will produce results.
