hey all, i've got to get a quote to a client for a potential gig in February (they haven't settled on an exact date yet) in downtown Cleveland. one of the ideas they'd like quoted is a string of 15-20 fire performers each lighting off of each other in order and each doing their thing (poi, staff, fans, devil stick, juggling torches, torch swinging, or whatever) then passing the flame on to the next person and the last person will set off some big sculpture/bonfire.
each person would only be using their preferred prop and would only be burning for about 3 minutes, thus you do not need to be a seasoned professional with a full 30-minute show, just able to rock a clean routine. and you do need to be able to follow directions, work with a group, be reliable and have reliable props (i'm lookin at you, Burn Unit).
so, here's a test of the "follow directions" part. if you are interested, send me a message (not a reply post to this thread) with the following information by thursday (12/6) evening:
1-your name and email address (regular email, not tribe profile)
2-your prop of choice (and your 2nd and 3rd props of choice if applicable)
3-how much you would charge for 1 burn as described above, 2 burns, 3 burns and 4 burns
any message missing any of the above information will be automatically deleted.
i'm not sure if the client will go for it, but if they do then this could be a really fun opportunity for all of us to get paid to work together. thanks for your time and interest.
keep warm, my friends.

Re: Ohio Area Fire Players--GIG
Fri, December 14, 2007 - 12:24 PMHiya Bonk!
Woulda posted earlier, but I'm way down in Cincy you know. Just the gas would be prolly too much to ask for a 3 minute burn, but I would love to come and play. I am proficient in fans, poi and flow-wand (yup, it's fire!), and I still haven't met you in person yet! I also have Lynz and Kate, and B the fire drummer. So, if you think the price could cover a couple tanks of gas, I'm up for a vacation! Lemme know kid,
