Just found the "13 moon" thing a few days ago. Couldn't quite figure how the 'day out of time' always fell on the same solar day every year. But hey, I just ignored it. Its a fun think....

A nice website with great pictures, with information for those just learning, is azteccalendar.com/
The names are different, but the dates align and it is very similar to the Mayan calendar ("imix" is called "cipactli", and both words mean "alligator/crocodile").
