With the desire to celebrate the desi driven beats of Bhangra, Non-Stop Bhangra(NSB) is so much more than just the typical club night!... NSB is a low-key, fun, and energetic monthly in San Francisco which combines dj's, dance lessons, performances, live dhol(drum), tabla players, visuals, & live painting all dedicated to celebrating the spirit of Bhangra and keeping the vibe focused on making you dance non stop!

Non-Stop Bhangra was born in 2004 when DJ Jimmy Love and Dholrhythms Founders Vicki Virk & Suman Raj-Grewal joined up to provide a dance night for students of Dholrhythms Bhangra classes. The demand was evident and soon venues filled up, and a grass roots word of mouth movement began culminating in a monthly event which has become a popular staple of Bay Area nightlife.
NonStop bhangra is a huge destination creating sold out nights and write-ups in all local papers as one of the best dancefloor nights in all the Bay Area.

As a raw rough guide to Bhangra, all elements are in a collective effort. NonStop Bhangra Collective has blazed a trail by presenting Punjabi music in a fresh way; an accessible approach which leaves no one out. Mixing traditional tracks as well as remixes, all fused with live dhol drums and
Scratching. It's impossible to not dance to these heavy driven beats of the dhol drum, guest tabla players and DJ Jimmy Love cutting up songs on the fly. The infectious energy is led by the beautiful ladies of Dholrhythms Dance Troupe who provide dance lessons & performances filled with colorful outfits and smiles that spin your eyes dizzy and compel you to join in the vibe. Visual Dj's cut up videos while live painter, Marcus Murray, creates a new piece of art for each event.

The collective continues to increase its efforts to raise awareness and share this beautiful energy with the masses. In addition to playing at the legendry Stern Grove Festival this summer, Dj Jimmy Love and NSB collective have sharedstages with artists such as State Of Bengal, Karsh Kale, Cheb i
Sabbah, J-Boogie Dubtronic Science, Sila and The Afro Funk Experience to the Dhamaal Collective. Dholrhythms dance troupe has danced on some of the largest local stages, from 1015 Folsom, De Young Museum, Pier 39, to the Fillmore, as well as guest dance spots with Michael Franti & Spearhead at their annual Harvest Ball, Harmony Festival and at the Power to the Peaceful Festival last year to around 40,000 people.

The Collective is always focused on helping the greater world community and raising awareness to embrace a more global conscious unity through music & dance providing partnerships with local non-profits like Project Ahimsa and the Katrina Fund.

Every month, NSB founders and residents Dholrhythms and Dj Jimmy Love, welcome an eclectic group of the most cutting edge Dj's known in SF to join them in the mix for rare bhangra sets.
