Nothing is definitive yet, but a non-profit group was created in Indiana to restore a historical drive-in there. The people who created that non-profit are big movie fans, who have friends in Oakland and have visited the Parkway in the past. They have indeed made an offer to the property owners to reopen the theater.

They're willing to work with the community to make sure that the reopened theater meets the wishes of the community. So, if you can, come by for fun tonight, but also to express your thoughts on what the new Parkway should look like.

Again, nothing has been finalized yet, but there is a real possibility that the Parkway will reopen soon, and be better than ever.
