I'm really glad I caught this show!
The intro is an experiment with the audience involving unusual balancing and immediate feedback from the audience. Most of the show is contact improv based modern dance, but my highlight was Jörg Müller, a French performer who manipulates a windchime in a hybrid of dance and juggling... Not to be missed!
Think 5 object manipluation on arcs he dances through, making music in the redirections for pattern control...
The closing number with mixed ability performer Claire Cunningham made me believe the arm crutches were merely a prop for the grace exhibited in contact dance and aerial partnering... Superb.

Re: Jess Curtis/Gravity show at CounterPULSE review
Mon, April 3, 2006 - 3:10 PMI concur, this show was great. That windchime piece was one of the most unique & beautiful manipulation routines I've ever seen. Fantastic!
