I have to say that the folks at Burning Bush (from my reading of their interaction with BLM) came at it poorly. Their "fuck you" reactions to somebody offering to meet with them and walk them through the procedure is entirely inappropriate if they were really trying to take their event above ground.
Too bad. While I understand their challenge, the thing is that there is X amount of work for the BLM to handle any festival out there. That ramp-up is probably pretty steep and it doesn't much matter if you have 5000 or 50,000 attendees other than your eventual use-fee. The paperwork remains the same.
