Heya folks,
4-year b-man attendee is very curious about JuPlaya -- but none of my peeps want to go! Can anyone give me some info on what the scene is like, if people are friendly to solo freaks like me, how many people and what the best night is? My camping gear is already covered in dust, so why not?

Thu, June 30, 2005 - 8:59 AMWell.....it's not The Burn. There's no "scene", nobody knows who all is out there and there is no "best" night. It's all what you bring to celebrate the Fourth on YOUR public land.
It's like this: I'm camping with people I met last year who are camping with people they met prior to that. The Ranch is working on projects. Earth Guardians are guarding the Earth. Folks are building things, having a good time and just happen to be friendly and neighborly enough to maybe roll over to that camp over there with the blinky lights and have an impromptu disco party.
I'm just going to get some playa in my nose. I don't know where all these freaks came from.... -
