I thought I would give you ladies a bit of a run down on some of those Ghost Stories that Hangtown is famous for.

I think that the best and most obvious place to start is right on Main Street.
You can't really go anywhere in this town without there being some sort of story about a haunting or two; and just about every other house has a ghost story that goes with it.

However, today, I will introduce you to The Carey House.

The Carey House Hotel is the only hotel right on Main Street, and has been in regular operation since opening its doors in the late 1800's.
There is more than one ghost that resides here... and many of them are attached to the furniture in each room..
However, there is one, who is a rather active kind of bugger. And for the record, we'll call him Stanley.
In life, he was quite the ladies man, and had been in trouble more than once for chasing the skirts of the pretty ladies in town.
However, you don't really notice him inside the Carey House, until you begin to climb the stairs.
Stanley likes the stairs... he's also a real fan of women's behinds.
When you go up the stairs, it's really a light brush against your tush... Nothing more... usually.

While he is not the only active ghost, there are others else where in the building.. card players, sharp shooters, miners and claim jumpers are all around there.. Sometimes you just have to simply turn a corner.
