Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) is an American independent circuit professional wrestling promotion based in Louisville, Kentucky. OVW is the most recognized facility for up and coming wrestlers and serves as the official training ground for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It is run by owner Danny Davis and was a member of the National Wrestling Alliance (as NWA Ohio Valley Championship Wrestling) from 1998 until 2001, when OVW became part of the WWE developmental program. Due to Jim Cornette, the booker, being fired, it is unclear who the head booker is at this time, though WWE has sent Paul Heyman down to replace him on at least a temporary basis.
