Throw Back!

Doug Flutie, the 43-year-old Patriots backup converted the NFL's first successful drop kick since 1941, making an extra point in the fourth quarter of the Miami Dolphins' mostly meaningless 28-26 victory Sunday over New England.

According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame web site, the league's last drop kick for points was on Dec. 21, 1941 -- two weeks after the bombing of Pearl Harbor -- when Ray "Scooter" McLean converted for the Chicago Bears to beat the New York Giants 37-9 in the NFL championship game.

I wonder if this will start a trend, he made it look easy.

i'm getting so seriously ticked off in the NFL tribe--as opposed to the Real NFL tribe--that I'm saying shit I don't really mean without thinking and using my inner censor

I think I need the break of Olde School

that Flutie Fluke *kidding but I can't resist word play* was incredible i wouldn't mind seeing a trend of older QBs pulling out some classic and beautiful plays

Speaking of Bradshaw, some one made a comment about his low QB rating and his reply was simply, "My QB rating? How about four. That's my rating, count'em, 1,2,3,4 rings!"
