Sutter's Mill
This pic of Sutter's Mill I took. Sutter's Mill is located along the American River, near the small town of Coloma in California in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This area is in the middle of the California Gold Country on highway 49 and is in Marshal Gold Discovery Park. The mill is a replica as the original Sutter's Mill was destroyed by fire in about 1920. This park is about a hour's drive east of Sacramento, Calif. and about a 2 1/2 hour drive west of Reno, Nv.
