Hi everyone,

My name is David Reihs and I am a Turkish and Arabic music and dance producer and musician studying in Istanbul. My wife Delpha - a Middle Eastern dancer - and I will be passing through Cleveland, Ohio the week of June 15th to visit family. We are looking around the net to see if there are any groups that may be interested in workshops while we are there.

For many years we performed and taught professionally in the Portland, Oregon Middle Eastern music and dance community. I am primarily a percussionist on darbuka and riq and have learned with some of the greats including Souhail Kaspar, Karim Nagi of Turbo Tabla and Tobias Roberson. Delpha has studied Egyptian Raks Sharki extensively with the famous Aziza (of Montreal, formerly of Portland) and has spent the last three years learning Turkish Rom dance here in Istanbul with Reyhan Tuzsuz.

We thought you or your friends may be interested in what we have to offer in the way of workshops. If you have an interest in hosting a workshop or two, please contact us and we'll see if this is a possibility for all of us. We are very excited to share our first hand knowledge of these great arts!

Yours in music and dance,

David and Delpha Reihs
