Unhappy with slow tribe

Hi Everyone, I just want to say that it is much easier to see what we have in stock and to contact me through the new Etsy site. I have become quite frustrated with the slowness of Tribe. Every time I have gotten on for the last 2 months it has been painfully slow. It took me 30 minutes to answer 4 e-mails in what should have taken me 10 or 15 because the loading of pages has become so slow. I don't know if a large number of users have experienced this, but I know friends of mine on tribe have been experiencing the same thing. So I have only been getting on here like once a week now. My cable is pretty fast and I'm not having this problem on other sites so I think it is Tribe. I also tried it at my work computer which is super fast and it still remains painfully slow to go from page to page. I love tribe and hope they get their speed back up but for now please contact me through Etsy under 1inabluemoon. Thanks, Layla

Waiting list

I almost didn't list the first part of the waiting list because I was afraid people wouldn't see their names and worry they weren't on it. I was trying to speed things up so as soon as the orders got done we could move on to the next 10. There are over 50 people on the waiting list. We're trying to expedite 10 at a time to get them done quicker. Some people have just one name on the waiting list but it stands for their whole troop. We have some new stock left over from Tribal fest that I'll be putting up today as well. We want to make everyone happy sorry we're not faster, but it is all hand made by us. Thanks!

New Etsy Site

I created a new Etsy site so I can post what is in stock more easily. I've got 4 covers posted up there now that are available. I will be uploading more stuff over the next few days. Hopefully this will make things easier for everyone. I uploaded the more expensive stuff first that was left over from Tribal Fest and I will have some off the less expensive stuff up in the next few days. I know everyones pocket book is hurting right now cause of gas prices. Someone was using the once in a blue moon as a description for an item so I couldn't get it for my site. Tribal Fest

We're flying to Tribal Fest this year and at this point I don't know if the lap top is going or not. So if you PM me between now and May 23 I will not be responding. I know that is longer than Tribal Fest but we are taking a 3 day vacation and hanging out in the Northern CA Redwoods for some hiking and R and R. This will be our first real vacation in about 4 years. I love the redwoods, Yep I'm a big tree hugger. If you have any questions one of my friends will probably kindly answer. Big metal round plates

HEY! I was told you have those big metal round plates in the Indigo's tribal belts,.. I hope Im explaining myself :o( they look like huge gilit plates or huge turkmen buttons, they usually have them in the front part of the belts and its 2 of them.. are you currently selling these? At this point, any one added to the list will be considered for late May early June for us to get to your order that is not a delivery date. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks to make since we make them in lots. We are looking at ways to speed up production but since they are each hand made there is only so much that can be done aside from going to a third world country. hello, oh great people of the boob armor.

Are they custom? Do you just keep them in stock? Both? How would one be properly sized?

That last one simply because I am a D34 (really a DD32, but those don't exist) and when I put on a wonderbra, it fits perfect. but other companies look funny, or have hard formed cups that smoosh down the top so they can point out in the middle.

Wahhhh, help!

So, after a gig last week, I thought I was being all smart, and when I put my bra in my suitcase, I put my kneepads on top of it, to protect the cup from scratches. When I took the bra out of the case, there were marks from the kneepads etched into the metal, I guess, from my sweat. I tried cleaning it, it seemed like a gunky mess, but it's actually etched right in. I couldn't even scrape it off.

Is there anything I can do to smooth that out and make them shiny again? Some kind of metal polish? Steel wool? Turtle Wax?

Orders

Just to let everyone know what is going on with thier orders. My husband tore his facia in his left arm while moving a bunch of my brothers stuff out of his apartment. It is healing nicely and he should be able to work on stuff again in about a week. Because of the injury it has put him back a month. So he is going to put off working on the horse armor that he had scheduled for January and finish his December orders up hopefully starting to work again next week. This should get him back on schedule. So is anyone was expecting an order in December you should get it by the end of Jan. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will also pay for the shipping on any late orders.
I will be answering e-mails over the next few days. If you wrote to me and haven't gotten a reply it's because I walked away from the computer for about a week. So please be patient and I will be e-mailing you shortly. We have planned to take a week off after Tribal Fest this year. We went to the Redwoods last year for two days and this year we want to have an actual vacation and take a whole week off exploring beautiful Northern California. I figure we both need it. Funeral In the Family

My apolagies for not answering e-mails for the next week. I'm busy dealing with arrangements for my brother's unexpected death. He was only 47 and went in for open heart surgery that none of us knew about or were informed about til after he died having it. So there is no will, no prearranged anything and since I'm the only one around of my siblings I'm the one that has to deal with it. (Our parents are both dead) We spent the last 5 days cleaning out is apartment, finding his vehicle at the hospitol, calling to see if he had any insurence, etc etc. So please be patient with me we hopefully will be back in business in about a week. My husband also sends his apologies for any lateness that will occur on delivery times. He is off having my brothers 2nd car towed away from the apartment today and then he's going to give his arm abreak from all the moving and hopefully start up on orders again on Friday.
Again, I sincerely apologize for any inconveniance late orders may cause you. I didn't have the forsight to schedule my brothers's death. I would like to add that no matter how old you are you never know when your going to go. So make it easier on your loved ones and tell someone in your family NOW, not some day, what you'd like to have done, who gets what and that sort of thing, before you kick the bucket. Follow those urges to call someone or visit. My oldest son had just said he'd like to go visit my brother the week before he died and I put it off. You don't know how bad I wish I could have that oppurtunity back. There's nothing like the spur of the moment visit or phone call. After all, that's what this game is all about, the time we spend with our loved ones, not how much money we make. Free time and how you spend it is the sign of a true rich man.

Sharon Kihara's New Video

Not only am I excited about the fact that Sharon is wearing our Bra covers all over her new video, I think it is a great video to boot. If you haven't seen it already you can get it at Amazon for only 10.95 what a bargain. She is wearing both the aluminum and bronze cups that we did for her on the front and back covers. Then, in between the chapters, she has more shots. When I heard about it I had to rush out and get a copy. I've only looked at about half of the DVD but everything I saw I liked. I'd say it is a must have for any Tribal dancers DVD collection. She does a nice job breaking things down and her combinations are fun and interesting. Definately worth checking out.

Scalloped Covers

Multiple people have asked about scalloped covers which are either on our waiting list or are waiting to ask later when we have some of our orders out of the way. However, I found a pair of 36 B's or a small 34 C in a box. So if anyone wants them just e-mail me. Ren Fest is finally over and we have to go clean our booth. Then the rest of the week we'll be working on boob cups. Hopefully, we'll get our orders done quickly and we can start taking orders again before April. That's the goal. Larger sizes

I've had several requests for larger sizes and we discussed the best way to handle them. Anything over a DD we need to have the bra you want the covers for so they can be made to fit. So it has to be mailed to us.Otherwise, it is just too dificult to make the right size just based off of measurements. However, we still need measurements in order to figure out how much metal it will take and how large the design has to be in order to figure out a price quote.

The server is being nice today so I'm actually getting some stuff up. Tried for two hours last night and kept getting kicked off. We have some disks available now as well. There pictures should already be up. We have about a dozen each of the scalloped, pinned and smooth dished disks available. I'm leaving town and won't be back til Wednesday. So please be patient. Server Problems

New Store

Hi Everybody, Just wanted to let you know what we've been up to and why I've been so busy. We signed a lease on a store and are in the process of getting everything ready for our Grand opening July 21st. So I have been a little negligent in e-mailing people as promptly as I like. It has also slowed down the order taking process. The idea with the store is we won't have to travel as much to make our living and we'll be able to cocentrating on having more time to make things at home. I'm going to try and post some of the new stuff we have in the next couple of days. Who knows maybe we'll even be able to get a cool website up with a normal way to order things. However, we've never been known to do anything too normal. So we have a few orders that my husband is working on when he's not building walls and putting in electrical outlets in the new store. We can't do any special orders at this point but things should be back to normal by the end of July. In the meantime I'm listing what we have in stock and maybe something will catch your fancy that is already made up. Thanks everyone for being so supportive. On a side not did anyone catch the picture of Beyonce wearing her metal bra and pants at the BET awards? They had a picture of it on www.msn.com home page. Tribal Fest

For those of you going to Tribal Fest come by the booth and say hi. We will be in the Labyrinth across the Kitchen door from the Main Auditoreum on the first row of pavement. We are busy making a lot of new stock and costumes. Plus I will have all my great Nepalese Jewelry and other Ethnic and Kuchi jewelry with me at Midwest prices. I have a great ring selection of beautiful sterling silver rings with beautiful real stones in them. Lots of Turqouise, Rainbow Moonstone, Garnets, Amethyst, etc. Believe it or not I sell more rings than boob cups. We will be next to our good friend Ocean and Elizabeth of Tribe Merrekech. Is your Aluminum cups starting to get a little dull? Wondering what to use to polish them back to an eye-catching shine? Well there is a great cheap product you can use and it's available at any car parts store. It's called Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish perfect for all metals. I think we paid 3.95 for our little jar and you don't need but a dab to do your cups up right. Merry Dancing Everyone!

Slight delays

For anyone that has ordered there may be about a week delay. My husband has pulled his shoulder out of his socket. It's back in but he can't do anything for at least a week. After he let's it rest for about a week he should be able to get things going again. Sorry for any inconveniance this causes anyone. I'm going to post some pictures of the horse Champron he's been working on. It's pretty much completely except for the cheek plates. Luckily he had it finished enough so the client could compete with her Frisian wearing the head piece.

Sorry if this isn't supposed to be on here...I'm trying to put my first tribal outit together but don't really have the money right now to be spending on all this lavish beautiful stuff...so I just wondered if anyone would like to trade items? I have been a scrapbooker forever and I have literally thousands of types of yard- many are custom-ordered and I have some that are full skiens....any color, texture, I have bins and bins. Also, unique and expensive buttons and beads and baubles....all kinds of suff. If you're familiar with 7 gypsies stuff- I have pretty much everything they've ever made- metal accents and tiny ink bottles, glass capsuals, tiny treasure boxes, tiny pendant frames, just all kinds of stuff. Plus I can make custom hand-made cards and journals and whatever else. I also make beautiful large hand-made bindis. Anyway, let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks!

New Pics of Sharon K With Her Bra Covers and the Durga Tour

Found some great pics on the Sharon K fan club of her wearing her bra covers I just had to post them. Ariella has also joined the ranks of boob cup wearers. She bought the flame pair from me in Springfield MO at one of her stops on the Durga Tour. I highly recomend the seminar if you get a chance to go. I average a seminar a month and I really ENJOYED this one. They covered a lot more than I expected. It definately was not your average seminar. Both her and Tempest are great teachers. I can't say enough good things about them. They take moves you know and add some cool twists to them. Plus I loved the fact that Ariella emphasized the importance of drills. 3 of my students went as well and I was happy that they reconized some of the same drills I make them do. Plus you should go just to support the dance. These ladies really have something to offer.

Going to Pennsic

Hi everyone, We will be leaving for Pennsic for 2 weeks tomorrow. I will be taking finished bra's with me. When I get back I will post pics of any finished peices I have left. If any of you are going there please stop by our booth and say hi. We are on the Street of Dreams over by the barn under Talon Armory and T'ger Toggs. At this point I think I have everyones orders out. E-mail me otherwise. I have been known to err as some of you know (like sending covers out with out the holes being drilled). Our Latest Happenings

We are leaving in just a few minutes to do a week long show til June 11. Then we will be in Norman OK for the Princess Farhana workshop the weekend of the 24th. We'll be back in Norman on the 1st for a Tribal Feat workshop. So if you live in Ok and have the time come by and see us. We plan on having some new stuff with us.
We have time to take some orders for the end of June and July. Towards the end of July we have to stop taking orders to get ready for Pennsic. Hope everyone is doing well and thanks for your patience continued support. Layla

I just want to check with everyone and make sure I haven't left anyone out who has ordered.
I have an order for Jewelia due at the begining of May and an order for Sameerah and Adamina for the end of May and one for Johari in June. If you placed an order and I didn't mention your name please let me know.
We are gearing up for the Rachel Brice seminar on May 6th and plan on having lots of cool stuff. There is a pair of Eye of Isis, butterflies, and scarobs that will be available in Colorado. I will be taking pics of everything so if you see something you like you can order it too if you can't make the work shop. After we get back my husband has to work on horse armor and other armor orders for a couple of weeks. We will have the scalloped edges and hammered design available in some sizes throughout the month of May but we can't take any special orders til June.

New Disks

I've posted pictures of 3 of the new disk styles we are offering. These are made out of aluminum and buffed to a nice polish. I've posted prices for them in the comment section of each picture. We'll be gone to a show this weekend and we are leaving in just a few minutes. So I won't be able to respond to anyone before Tuesday. If you want a pair go ahead and privately email me.

We have other styles we will be putting up in the following weeks. I also will be posting pics next week of the head peices I have available that I've been using for the Belly Drapes. Sorry I haven't been able to do it sooner. This is our super busy time of year.

We are back

Just wanted to let everyone know we are back. We are working on a couple of orders right now. Some of you have dead lines so we are getting those out asap. I will be taking pics so everyone can see the different designs my husband has been coming up with. Right now he is working on a lotus belt to go with the lotus bra covers that someone bought.
