The largest cell in the human body is the female egg and the smallest is the male sperm.

It takes the food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.

One human hair can support 3 kg (6 lb).

The average man's penis is three times the length of his thumb.

Human thighbones are stronger than concrete.

A woman's heart beats faster than a man's.

There are about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.

Women blink twice as often as men.

The average person's skin weighs twice as much as the brain.

Your body uses 300 muscles to balance itself when you are standing still.

If saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it.

Men that read this are probably still busy checking their thumbs.

Happy Butt

It was this little girl's first day of school, and the teacher asked her what her name was.

She replied, 'Happy Butt.'
The teacher said, 'Honey I don't think that's your name. You need to go to the principal's office and get this straightened out. '

So she went to the principal's office and he asked, 'What's your name?'

And the little girl said, 'Happy Butt.'

The principal called the girl's mother to get this straightened out once and for all.

After getting off the phone, he looked at the little girl and said, 'Honey, your name is Gladys, not Happy Butt.'

Grinning from ear to ear, the girl then exclaimed, 'Glad Ass, Happy Butt, what's the difference?!

The kiss

A married couple was in a terrible accident where the man's face was severely burned. The doctor told the
husband that they couldn't graft any skin from his body because he was too skinny. So the wife offered to
donate some of her own skin. However, the only skin on her body that the doctor felt was suitable would
have to come from her buttocks. The husband and wife agreed that they would tell no one about where the
skin came from, and they requested that the doctor also honor their secret. After all, this was a very delicate
matter. After the surgery was completed, everyone was astounded at the man's new face. He looked more
handsome than he ever had before! All his friends and relatives just went on and on about his youthful
beauty! One day, he was alone with his wife, and he was overcome with emotion at her sacrifice. He said,
'Dear, I just want to thank you for everything you did for me. How can I possibly repay you?' 'My darling,'
she replied, 'I get all the thanks I need every time I see your mother kiss you on the cheek.

Jewish love :-D

WHAT makes a Jewish man smile on Friday evenings?

The tranquillity of the sabbath, when families gather around the dining table for a traditional meal, to be sure. The candle lighting. The blessings. But there is something else: Perhaps God's double mitzvah - literally, double "commandment" - that a man make love to his wife not just that night, but all throughout the next day. It may be the holy day's most important precept.

"This is an expression of moral values," says Lubavitch Rabbi Mendel Deren, who is based in the Old City of Jerusalem. "And by moral values, I mean that a man's duty to make love requires him to think not about what his own body wants, but the responsibility he has to care about his wife and her feelings. It's an act of love."

Such are the holy duties that befall an orthodox Jewish man week in, week out.

On this sabbath, today, the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Av, the lovemaking commandment has particular salience as Jews around the world observe the religious holiday known as Tu Ba'av, the Day of Love.

In Israel, Tu Ba'av has become a secular feast of amore - a day of love-related festivities. Israelis give cards and flowers to their loved ones and the date is one of the most popular for weddings. Bars and restaurants have been booked out for weeks as couples prepare for a romantic evening out. Barmen supposedly concoct aphrodisiac potions.

Rabbi Deren says the Tu Ba'av holiday was traditionally a day when unmarried men and women would take to the streets of Jerusalem to find a life partner. In ancient times women all wore simple white dresses so prospective husbands couldn't tell who was rich and who was poor.

"Not just the search for someone you take a liking to, this is the search for the person you can pair up with and then go out and take on the world, the partner who really fits you," Rabbi Deren says.

The Jewish vision of sex is wider-ranging than the biblical instruction to be fruitful and multiply. Most intriguing, possibly, to non-Jews is the Jewish man's obligation, enshrined in the marriage contract, that he sexually satisfy his wife. A wife's sexual dissatisfaction, Beck says, is grounds for divorce.

Mr Beck, 63, and the father of four daughters, says: "Jewish attitudes towards sex are very different to Christianity's. We believe that we should enjoy all of the fruits that God gives us. The Christian view of sex leans more towards repressing those feelings.

"I think we encourage a more open view of sex within marriage than Christians."

Rabbi Deren, who is American-born, says: "The Christian view seems to be that sex is an unfortunate fact of life. But for Jews this is an opportunity that God gives every couple. So in our view, we should try to use it as an expression of deep love. Lovemaking can be coarse and animalistic, but do we stay away from it because of that? No! What it means is that next time, we try to do it better.

"For Jews, sex is not unfortunate," he said, in what may be the most joyfully agreed-upon truism across the Israeli secular-religious divide. "For us it is a fact of life and we have to be able to prove that we are worthy of expressing those moral values."

In Tel Aviv and Jerusalem tonight, the young will undulate to the thump of end-of-summer DJ's mixes and drinking blood-red love-day cocktails. It may be hard for the untrained eye to discern a spiritual aspiration in this. Yet Rabbi Deren says: "You'd be surprised how the body falls into line, and will you become better? Yes. Absolutely, yes. It is a long process, but every young couple has the hope of a long married life together."

Irish Jokes

An Irishman had been drinking at a pub all night. The bartender finally said that the bar is closing. So the Irishman stood up to leave and fell flat on his face. He tried to stand one more time; same result. He figured he'll crawl outside and get some fresh air and maybe that will sober him up.

Once outside he stood up and fell flat on his face. So he decided to crawl the 4 blocks to his home. When he arrived at the door he stood up and again fell flat on his face. He crawled through the door and into his bedroom. When he reached his bed he tried one more time to stand up. This time he managed to pull himself upright, but he quickly fell right into bed and is sound asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

He was awakened the next morning to his wife standing over him, shouting, "So, you've been out drinking again!!"

"What makes you say that?" he asked, putting on an innocent look. "The pub called. You left your wheelchair there again."

***

An Irishman was very ill and on the verge of dying. The doctor called the man's wife in and said,"There are three things that you can do to help your husband back to health"

"What are they, sir?"

"One: You must make him three huge meals every day.
Two: Never argue with him.
Three: Make love to him every night.

"Agreed." Said the woman.

On the way home the husband asked what the doctor said.

The woman replied,"You're going to die."

***

As soon as she had finished parochial school, a bright young girl named Lena shook the dust of Ireland off her shoes and made her way to New York where before long, she became a successful performer in show business. Eventually she returned to her home town for a visit and on Saturday night went to confession in the church which she had always attended as a child.

In the confessional Father Sullivan recognized her and began asking her about her work.

She explained that she was an acrobatic dancer, and he wanted to know what that meant. She said she would be happy to show him the kind of thing she did on stage. She stepped out of the confessional and within sight of Father Sullivan, she went into a series of cartwheels, leaping splits, handsprings and backflips. Kneeling near the confessional, waiting their turn, were two middle-aged ladies.

They witnessed Lena's acrobatics with wide eyes, and one said to the other: "Will you just look at the penance Father Sullivan is givin' out this night, and me without me bloomers on!"

***

Patrick Finnegan came home drunk every evening toward ten.

Now, the Missus was never too happy about it, either. So one night she hides in the cemetery and figures to scare the beejeezus out of him. As poor Pat wanders by, up from behind a tombstone she jumps in a red devil costume screaming,

"Patrick Sean Finnegan, sure and ya' don't give up you're drinkin' and it's to Hell I'll take ye'".

Pat, undaunted, staggered back and demanded, "Who the hell ARE you?".

Too that the Missus replied, "I'm the divil ya' damned old fool".

To which Finnegan remarked,

"Damned glad to meet you sir, I'm married to yer sister."

***

Hattie went to the doctor. When she came home, she went straight to Paddy and asked, "Paddy, what is a urine specimen?"
Paddy scratched his head and said, "I don't know, Hattie...why don't ya go next door and ask Mary?"
Hattie said, "All right, I will."
Quite a few minutes later, Hattie appeared back in the doorway, panting heavily. Her hair was down, clothes all torn, disheveled and out of breath.
Paddy exclaimed, "Good Lord, woman, what happened to ya?"
Hattie explained, "Well, I asked Mary what was a urine specimen...she said piss in a bottle, I said shite in your hat - and the fight was on!"

***

Q: Did you hear about the Irish abortion clinic?
A: It has a 12 month waiting list.

Q: What's long & green & has a low I.Q.?
A: A St. Patrick's Day Parade

Q: How did the Irish Jig get started?
A: Too much to drink and not enough restrooms!

Q: Why did St. Patrick drive the snakes out of Ireland?
A: He couldn't afford plane fare.

***

Irish Stew
We've got our own recipe for Irish stew: Get some meat, some potatoes and a lot of Guinness Stout. Drink all of the stout. Forget about the stew.

***

An American and an Irishman were enjoying a ride in the country when they came upon an unusual sight - an old gallows. The American thought he would have a joke on his Irish companion. "You see that, I reckon," said he to the Irishman, pointing to the gallows. "And now where would you be if the gallows had its due?" "Riding alone," coolly replied Paddy.

***

Pat was found dead in his back yard, and as the weather was a bit on the warm side, the wake was held down to only two days, so his mortal remains wouldn't take a bad turn. At last his friends laid him in the box, nailed it shut & started down the hill into the churchyard. As it was a long, sloping path and the mourners were appropriately tipsy, one fellow lurched into the gatepost as they entered the graveyard. Suddenly a loud knocking came from in the box. Paddy was alive! They opened the box up and he sat up, wide eyed, and they all said, Sure, it's a miracle of God! All rejoiced & they went back and had a few more drinks but later that day, the poor lad died. Really died. Stone cold dead. They bundled him back into his box, and as they huffed and puffed down the hill the next morning, the priest said, "Careful now, boys; mind ye don't bump the gatepost again"

***

Casey and Riley agreed to settle their dispute by a fight, and it was understood that whoever wanted to quit should say "Enough." Casey got Riley down and was hammering him unmercifully when Riley called out several times, "Enough!" As Casey paid no attention, but kept on administering punishment, a bystander said, "Why don't you let him up? Don't you hear him say that he's had enough?" "I do," says Casey, "but he's such a liar, you can't believe him.

***

An Irish priest and a Rabbi get into a car accident. They both get out of their cars and stumble over to the side of the road. The Rabbi says, "Oy vey! What a wreck!" The priest asks him, "Are you all right, Rabbi?" The Rabbi responds, "Just a little shaken." The priest pulls a flask of whiskey from his coat and says, "Here, drink some of this it will calm your nerves." The Rabbi takes the flask and drinks it down and says, "Well, what are we going to tell the police?" "Well," the priest says, "I don't know what your aft' to be tellin' them. But I'll be tellin' them I wasn't the one drinkin'."

***

An American walks into an Irish pub and says, "I'll give anyone $100 if they can drink 10 Guinness's in 10 minutes." Most people just ignore the absurd bet and go back to their conversations. One guy even leaves the bar. A little while later that guy comes back and asks the American, "Is that bet still on?" "Sure." So the bartender lines 10 Guinness's up on the bar the Irishman drinks them all in less than 10 minutes. As the American hands over the money he asks, "Where did you go when you just left?" The Irishman answers, "I went next door to the other pub to see if it could be done."

9 THINGS WOMEN SAY.....

1. Fine:
This is the word women use to end an argument when the are right and you need to shut up.

2. Five Minutes :
If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour.
Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3. Nothing:
This is the calm before the storm.
This means something, and you should be on your toes.
Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4.Go Ahead :
This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!!!

5.Loud Sigh :
This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men.
A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing.
(Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6. That's Okay:
This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man.
That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7. Thanks:
A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say ' You're welcome'.

8. Whatever :
Is a women's way of saying FCUK OFF!!

9. Don't worry about it, I got it:
Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself.
This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to #3.Then you RUN!!!!!

A woman burst out of the examining room screaming after her young physician tells her she is pregnant. The director of the clinic stopped her and asked what the problem was. After she tells him what happened, the doctors had her sit down and relax in another room and he marched down the hallway where the woman’s physician was and demanded, “What is wrong with you? Mrs. Miller is 60 years old, has six grown children and nine grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?” The young physician continued to write his notes and without looking up at his superior, asked, “Does she still have the hiccups?”

Spanish Class

A Spanish Teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.'House' for instance, is feminine: 'la casa.' 'Pencil,' however, is masculine: 'el lapiz.'
A student asked, 'What gender is 'computer'?'
Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether computer' should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.

The men's group decided that 'computer' should definitely be of the feminine gender ('la computadora'), because:

1 No one but their creator understands their internal logic;

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;

3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and

4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

(THIS GETS BETTER!)

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine ('el computador'), because:

1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;

2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;

3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and

4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

The women won.

Personal Philosophy is Like the Set of the Sail

In the process of living, the winds of circumstances blow on us all in an unending flow that touches each of our lives.

We have all experienced the blowing winds of disappointment, despair and heartbreak. Why, then, would each of us, in our own individual ship of life, all beginning at the same point, with the same intended destination in mind, arrive at such different places at the end of the journey? Have we not all been blown by the winds of circumstances and buffeted by the turbulent storms of discontent?

What guides us to different destinations in life is determined by the way we have chosen to set our sail. The way that each of us thinks makes the major difference in where each of us arrive. The major difference is the set of the sail.

The same circumstances happen to us all. We have disappointments and challenges. We all have reversals and those moments when, in spite of our best plans and efforts, things just seem to fall apart. Challenging circumstances are not events reserved for the poor, the uneducated or the destitute. The rich and the poor have marital problems. The rich and the poor have the same challenges that can lead to financial ruin and personal despair. In the final analysis, it is not what happens that determines the quality of our lives, it is what we choose to do when we have struggled to set the sail and then discover, after all of our efforts, that the wind has changed directions.

When the winds change, we must change. We must struggle to our feet once more and reset the sail in the manner that will steer us toward the destination of our own deliberate choosing. The set of the sail, how we think and how we respond, has a far greater capacity to destroy our lives than any challenges we face. How quickly and responsibly we react to adversity is far more important than the adversity itself. Once we discipline ourselves to understand this, we will finally and willingly conclude that the great challenge of life is to control the process of our thinking.

Learning to reset the sail with the changing winds rather than permitting ourselves to be blown in a direction we did not purposely choose requires the development of a whole new discipline. It involves going to work on establishing a powerful, personal philosophy that will help to influence in a positive way all that we do and that we think and decide. If we can succeed in this worthy endeavor, the result will be a change in the course of our income, lifestyle and relationships, and in how we feel about the things of value as well as the times of challenge. If we can alter the way we perceive, judge and decide upon the main issues of life, then we can dramatically change our lives.

Einstein's Formula for Success

Albert Einstein had a formula for success. Can you believe that? One of the greatest minds of all time developed a math formula for success! I suggest you read this carefully -- this may be the most important math equation that you will ever see.

Einstein said, 'If A equals success, then the formula is: A=X+Y+Z.
X is work.
Y is play.
Z is keep your mouth shut."

Einstein no doubt had an excellent sense of humor. Let's look at the 3 variables in this equation. They are:
1. Work
2. Play
3. Keeping your mouth shut!

1. Work: Albert Einstein had a tremendous work ethic and because of that gave more to society and modern science than any person in recent times

2. Play: Einstein, however, did not work 24 hours a day and made time for fun and relaxation. His idea of fun may have been different than yours, but that doesn't mean it still wasn't play.

3. Keeping your mouth shut: Finally, my favorite part of his success formal is to keep your mouth shut. I genuinely believe that the person who talks the least says the most. A friend of mine complains that the woman he is dating talks too much. I don't know how to break the news to him; however, the problem is not that she talks too much. It simply is the fact that he is irritated that he isn't able to talk. Now, let me just say this is not a generic man and woman statement. I am speaking about a specific person that I know. His desire is to constantly talk and because he likes to talk so much, he will talk in circles. If you let him talk long enough he will repeat the same thing three times and then contradict himself. His desire is not to hear but to be heard.

Albert Einstein, on the other hand had nothing to prove. He felt no need to be the "Chatty Cathy" he could have been with his knowledge. It wasn't important to him to talk to everyone he met and talk over their heads to demonstrate his IQ. Instead, he learned the value of quietness and solitude.

Shift your mind set from being a talker to a listener. It has been said that you can make more friends in 5 minutes by becoming interested in others than you can make in 5 years of trying to get others interested in you! How do you become interested in others? You ask questions and then keep your mouth shut!

Dale Carnegie wrote a best selling book entitled 'How to Win Friends and Influence People.' One of the key premises of this book was that everyone's favorite subject is actually themselves and that the sweetest sound to their ears is the sound of their own name. Einstein knew this and realized he could influence others by choosing his spots to speak and validating others by extending them the courtesy of listening.

Change Begins with Choice

Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish; we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish; we can start a new activity. Any day we wish; we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year.

We can also do nothing. We can pretend rather than perform. And if the idea of having to change ourselves makes us uncomfortable, we can remain as we are. We can choose rest over labor, entertainment over education, delusion over truth, and doubt over confidence. The choices are ours to make. But while we curse the effect, we continue to nourish the cause. As Shakespeare uniquely observed, "The fault is not in the stars, but in ourselves." We created our circumstances by our past choices. We have both the ability and the responsibility to make better choices beginning today. Those who are in search of the good life do not need more answers or more time to think things over to reach better conclusions. They need the truth. They need the whole truth. And they need nothing but the truth.

We cannot allow our errors in judgment, repeated every day, to lead us down the wrong path. We must keep coming back to those basics that make the biggest difference in how our life works out. And then we must make the very choices that will bring life, happiness and joy into our daily lives.

And if I may be so bold to offer my last piece of advice for someone seeking and needing to make changes in their life - If you don't like how things are, change it! You're not a tree. You have the ability to totally transform every area in your life - and it all begins with your very own power of choice.

"Slow and Steady Wins the Race"... It's Not Glamorous, but It's True

"Slow and Steady Wins the Race"... It's Not Glamorous, but It's True by Cynthia Kersey

"Slow and steady wins the race." It's not glamorous, but it's true. The tragedy is that most people never even get in the race, and many of those who do hope that success comes easily and swiftly. When it doesn't, they're out of the race, before it really begins. What they don't realize is that the decision to be unstoppable is never made just once. It is made moment by moment, again and again.

Setbacks are inevitable. In fact, they're evidence that we're doing something. The more mistakes we make, the greater our chance of success. Failures indicate a willingness to experiment and take risks. Unstoppable women have learned that each failure brings wisdom and insight that will take them one step closer to achieving their dreams. When we focus on one unstoppable moment at a time and stay the course, the end result will take care of itself.

It's important to remind ourselves that failure is an event, not a person. If you don't achieve your 30-day goal, does that make you a failure? If you don't get a promotion at work, does that make you a failure? If you get married and then divorced, does that make you a failure? Of course not!

Failure doesn't characterize who you are. It is simply an event that happens to you. And when you continue to move forward, despite difficult experiences, you have already won!

ACTION: Find the gift in the setback

The next time the outcome you had hoped for doesn't transpire, look for the gift. Ask yourself the following questions:
1. What can I learn from what happened?
2. What am I grateful for about this experience?
3. What are the potential benefits of this experience?
4. What is the best way for me to move forward?

Commit to finding the gift in any setback. And in advance, tell yourself that you will never, never, never quit. If you don't give up, you simply cannot fail. Not only will you achieve your dreams, but the combination of your commitment, courage, and faith will rise as the greatest triumph of all.

Choose to be unstoppable!
You get a new vacuum, you are on a mad hunt for dirt to suck up with this new baby!!

I bought a new vacuum 6 months ago, an Infinity. (http://www.infinityvac.com/) And I HATE IT!!!! I was in the market for a new vacuum and saw this one at Costco. I called my husband to google this vacuum and tell me what he had found. He found many site praising this vacuum......http://www.lasplash.com/publish/Home_134/The_Shark_Infinity_Vacuum_Review_A_Vacuum_to_be_Envied.php. These peole to not know what the heck they are talking about. I hate it and the kids hate it. Realy user unfriendly. Every 3 min I am stopping to empty it out. I have to take it apart because it get clogged where the motor and the hose meet!! After EVERY use, I have to clean ALL the filters or it will not turn on for the next time I use it. $200.00 down the toilet!!!

So, I went with a brand name I know. I bought a Bissel Pet Hair Eraser. I just got done putting it together and can not wait to use it. This better work!!! Oh and my back ground on vacuums? I was in the cleaning business with my own little business for over 25yrs. They really do not make good vacuums like they use to and I will not pay over $200.00 for one. You should be able to buy a great house vacuum for under $200.0, anything more, I will buy a commercial vacuum.

Well, here I go with my new vacuum, wish me luck!?

Who knew that two simple words could change one's mindset, perspective and approach to work and life? Just two words have the potential to enhance joy, productivity, performance and change a complaining voice to an appreciative heart.

So often we say things like, "I have to take the kids to practice." "I have to go to this meeting." "I have to finish this project." "I have to go to work today." "I have to take care of this customer." "I have to share this new information with my team." "I have to see my family this weekend."

We act as if we don't have a choice. As if we are imprisoned by a paycheck and the expectations of a world that forces us to do thing we don’t want to do. But in reality we do have a choice. We can choose our attitude and our actions. We can choose how we view our life and work. We can realize that every day is a gift. It’s not about what we have to do. It's about what we get to do.

We get to live this life while so many like Tim Russert and my Mom have left this world far too early. We get to drive in traffic while so many are too sick to drive a car. We get to go to a job while so many are unemployed. We get to raise our children even if they drive us nuts at times. :) We get to interact with our employees and customers and make a difference in their life. We get to use our gifts and talents to make a product or provide a service. We get to eat three meals a day while millions of people are starving. We get to work on projects, answer phone calls, serve customers, participate in meetings, design, create, share, sell, lead and suit up every day for the game of life.

Yes there will be challenges and life isn't easy but each day we wake up we get another opportunity to make today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today. We get to uplift, inspire, encourage, and impact others. We get to live this life. Let's make the most of it by remembering that life is a gift not an obligation.

Stay Positive!

Members of an unknown Amazon Basin tribe and their dwellings are seen during a flight over the Brazilian state of Acre along the border with Peru in these May, 2008 photos distributed by Survival International. Survival International estimates that there are over 100 uncontacted tribes worldwide, and says that uncontacted tribes in the region are under increasing threat from illegal logging over the border in Peru

What did your town look like according to Penny Postcards?

Check out your old stomping grounds during the times of the penny postcard.

Click on the state and then on the county to see old penny postcards from that area...pretty neat

Explanation of my name change

http://tribes.tribe.net/goldstarclub/thread/2c89668e-4ede-4274-9277-e1c5438b0d6e

The link posted here brings you to a silly thread in another tribe which basically will show you why tribe deleted my Oz profile. That being said, although I did have fun getting all of the top moderators into the same Avatar, I was not the ALT profile as suggested in this thread. It is someone I know and who is in this tribe, and It was all in fun.

My real name is Bruce. Most of you know this. I was a top moderator on this site for a very long time and I created the Mystubenmyspec tribe which is now moderated by Lady Jess who is doing an amazing job. I created the venting tribe which is now moderated by Denice who is also doing a wonderful job keeping that tribe alive. They were appointed moderators of those tribes after my origional profile was deleted by tribe.

I would never claim to be a perfect person. I will not sit here and BS anyone and say I have never stuck back at some of these freaks on the site when I felt I was pushed too far. BUT many of you here have known me for a long time and know how I treat the people I care about. I consider everyone in this tribe a friend and I feel I have treated each person here with the respect they deserve.

That being said I am sure in the near future I will re-invite everyone here to a new tribe as I can no longer be the moderator of this one as I was unsubbed from this site without any explanation although the link I posted explains why. BUT, like I stated, I was not the person who is being referred to in this thread even though that profile was deleted as well.

In addition, when my first profile on this site was deleted, tribe posted on the gold tribe that I would be refunded for my premium membership, and they also stated I would NOT be allowed to purchase another premium membership. Well, I would never throw away another $50.00 - but nothing was stated that I cannot be on this site.

Love you all,

Bruce

1. NAMES
If Laurie, Linda, Elizabeth and Barbara go out for lunch, they will call each other
Laurie, Linda, Elizabeth, and Barbara.

If Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as
Fat Boy, Godzilla, Peanut-Head, and Scrappy.

2. EATING OUT

When the bill arrives, Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom will each throw in a $20, even though it's only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back.

When the women get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

3. MONEY

A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.

A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need, but it's on sale.

4. BATHROOMS

A man has five items in his bathroom: a toothbrush, shaving cream,
razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from the Marriott.

The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337.

A man would not be able to identify most of these items.

5. ARGUMENTS

A woman has the last word in any argument.

Anything a man says after that... is the beginning of a new argument.

6. CATS

Women love cats.

Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

7. FUTURE

A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.

A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

8. SUCCESS

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.

A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

9. MARRIAGE

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.

A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change but she does.

10. DRESSING UP

A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the garbage,
answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.

A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

11. NATURAL

Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.

Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

12. OFFSPRING

Ah,children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favorite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams.

A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

13. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

To be 6 Again

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her Birthday.

'I'd like to be six again', she replied, still looking in the mirror.

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day!

He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was.
Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.

He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure! Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, 'Well Dear, what was it like being six again??'

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. 'I meant my dress size, you dumb ass!'

The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he's gonna get it wrong.

is will even freak out people who aren't afraid of heights!!

You won't believe this!
El Caminito del Rey (The King's pathway) is a walkway, now fallen into disrepair, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Álora in Málaga , Spain . The walkway has gone many years without maintenance, and is in a highly deteriorated and dangerous state. It is only one meter in width, and over a 700-meter fall, and over time it has also lost its handrail. Some parts of the walkway have completely collapsed and have been replaced by a beam and a metallic wire on the wall. Many people have lost th eir lives on the walkway in recent years. After four people died in two accidents in 1999 and 2000, the local government closed the entrances. However, ad venturous tourists still find their way into the walkway. The view and the music are almost like being in a video game...very cool!Oh yes... once you get to the website and click the 'Play' button - you must go full screen!!

YOU MUST GO FULL SCREEN!!

Biker death today....

Today, I headed out on my Harley and met friends new and old for a little road therapy. Around dinner time, at a pub stop with friends, I checked my cell phone. I had a couple missed calls from my boyfriend, Chad - no messages. Not like him. Later, I had a couple from my ex-husband, too.

I called Chad first. I asked how he was, and he was silent for a moment. Then in a strange tone, he said, "Well, I'm fine NOW." I thought he was still upset about this argument we got into last night, even though we discussed it, and things were fine.

No. Turns out, he had been having a hard time worry about me. He worked at the fire station Sunday from 8 a.m. to Monday 8 a.m. At about 4:30 p.m., a woman around my age went down on her motorcycle on the road by my house and was killed. His station alternates calls - his big ladder truck one call, the hose engine the next. This call, he heard over the loudspeaker, motorcycle fatality near my house, 40 yr old woman, and the engine got the call. He had been freaking for quite some time until I called him back. I guess he knew when I called it wasn't me. He was on the radio grilling his coworkers on the engine for details... What color bike, what color hair, where is she, is she alive, etc. Poor lady was hamburger, not much left, by the time they found her. Sounds like other cars ran over her once she hit the median. But it didn't match my description. Thank god. It obviously bothered him.

He was pretty grouchy and short with me when I spoke to him on the phone. He questioned me about where I was, what I was doing, how much was I drinking, etc. Said he wasn't trying to be a 'whiny bitch' but he would have a problem if I was drinking on my bike because it just made it more dangerous. Well, duh! I have drinks but very few and I watch myself and eat when I'm on the road. I don't want to die! After last night's argument, I felt a little hurt by his tone. But I bet he is just worried and tired.

I'm starting to see that he really isn't digging some of my risk taking behaviors. I met some guys on Mt. Hood yesterday that parasail, and I made plans to go parasailing soon. He was NOT happy with that. He feels like I'm potentially jumping to my death.

Me, it sounds fabulous, and I can't wait! I worry about him driving up and down Mt. Hood to ski, because he does it so often I feel he puts himself at risk percentage wise, driving around loons who can't drive in winter weather. And then there is the fact that he is standing on burning roofs, running into burning buildings, dealing with drug addicts and dealers, he's had a gun pulled on him, etc. I think I've been remarkably un-hen-like.

I'm not sure how to reassure him. He said he doesn't want me to stop doing what I love. And he won't try to make me stop. But I know it bothers him. Have you had similar stuff with your significant other? What helped? I think I'm doing the right things, but what else helps?

Everyone, please take a moment and send a biker sister some love. She was young and probably was living a thriving, fulfilling life she did not want to leave. And her family is probably heartbroken. Let's send some to the person riding with her, when she died, too, because I know that person is suffering badly tonight, and for quite a while into the future.

In his dreams he's taken away by alien beings to another
galaxy, deep in space. To a planet where a man can live
out his fantasies, and experience unimaginable pleasures.
But morning comes and soon the realities of life will
shatter his illusions, and the clichés of the world will
bring him down. But still he's waiting for a change.

NEW YORK - A time-lapse video of a man trapped in an elevator for 41 hours has become something of an Internet sensation after surveillance camera footage emerged of the event which occurred nearly a decade ago.

``After a certain period of time I knew that I was in pretty big trouble because it was the weekend,'' Nicholas White said Monday on ABC-TV's ``Good Morning America.''

Video of his Oct. 15, 1999, ordeal in an elevator in New York's McGraw-Hill building was posted online to accompany an article in the April 21 edition of The New Yorker. It can be seen on the magazine's Web site and had been viewed more than 280,000 times on YouTube by Monday morning.

White said he understood why the video has captured people's attention: So many have wondered what they would do if it happened to them.

Edited to a soundtrack of classical piano music, the video shows him pacing, trying to climb the walls, lying down, curled up in a fetal position, prying apart the doors. (He said he relieved himself down the shaft when the doors were open.)

White sued the managers of the midtown skycraper and the elevator maintenance company and won an undisclosed settlement.

He was a production manager for Business Week when he left his office about 11 p.m. Friday for a cigarette break. According to the article, it was never determined exactly why the elevator stalled though there was talk of a voltage dip.

I just made some more toast here at the office (hungry this morning, a lot) and everyone coming in is delighting over the smell and surprised to find that it is, in fact, just toast. So I'm thinking, as I often do, about what my favorite smells in the world are - and I know you have some too, so let's hear 'em.

I'll start: in no particular order except for #1, which is Cilantro. Best smell in the world!!
- toast
- celery
- tomatoes when you water them in late afternoon sun
- frozen laundry that's just beginning to defrost (this is a very very rare and exotic smell now)
- all the flowering ones: jasmine, honeysuckle, lilies, lavender, gardenia, freesia, hyacinths especially white ones -- have you noticed that white flowers tend to have the strongest smells? -- strangely while I like roses I don't find them too thrilling, not like these others
- babies (most parts and most times)

Do what God says

DeLand - A 30-year-old woman caused quite a commotion Wednesday evening when she decided to direct traffic at a DeLand intersection.

Rather than keeping traffic flowing through the intersection of W. Euclid and S. Orange avenues, the woman was creating a bit of a hazard, police said, because she was topless. The DeLand Police Department received a number of calls about 7 p.m. and responded to find the woman "foaming at the mouth and talking to herself," according to a police report.

The DeLand woman told police that God told her to direct traffic.

She was taken to an area hospital for a mental evaluation.

Since I knew my friend Franchesca was working this morning at Starbucks, i decided to do something funny. Usually I park and go inside, but today I decided to use the drive through, but drove through the drive through in reverse. YES I drove backwards through the turn to the window and everyone was cracking up.

What random thing have you done latley?

The Power of Attraction

I have been pondering this and wonder if anyone has any thoughts to add.
Thoughts are powerful. Words are also. Like attracts like. Expectations are often fulfilled. Seek and ye shall receive.
What You Think Is What You Get

Your reality will represent what is going on in your mind and subconscious mind. Your attitude will be reflected back to you by the attitude of those close to you and around you on a daily basis. If you are positive and optimistic - you'll have positive and optimistic people around you.

Re-visit from time to time the definition: "the Law of Attraction is attracting to your life whatever you give your attention, focus and energy to, whether wanted or unwanted." It works all the time, everywhere, it's completely up to you to activate it. Set goals, long- term goals and literally flood your mind with positive, motivating thoughts and feelings. This is how you become excellent, more prosperous and a successful entrepreneur.
--there is tons of this all over the web...
Have you heard of "the Secret"?
I would like to see rest of the movie.
or
Do we not like oatmeal or coffee and only drink coffee from places like Starbucks?
or
Is it Friday yet?

anyone know about this? i think its an LOL-worthy concept. they strap you down and tickle the soles of your feet--- heh. i googled it, and found mostly erotic "torture" stories, videos and cartoons. which generates more LOLs. all in all, i learned researching the topic may be just as theraputical....
