I know this sounds like science fiction or a conspiracy theory, but it's not. It is a complete reality and a huge danger to humanity. Please check out the following petition and sign it. As crazy as this may sound but mind control energy weapons is a reality. Millions of people are suffering from the mental abuse and torture of these weapons that are not openely talked about or known, or "declassified." The abuse is largely sexist and racist and targets people who are of certain ethnicities... primarily who are not white. The abuse is deliberate, cruel, and is done by directing energy beams, via satellite or other means, onto the body/person/ brain of the individuals targeting certain centers of the brain to elicit responses or actions. Whether they are able to do control the person or not, they definitely abuse and severely mentally and psychologically hurt the victims.

Looking for Denver location for New Years celebration

Dreamer/Burner/Pagan friendly warehouse preferred, ideally with pre-event access to build some cool sets and a couple days post event to tear down. FREE FESTIVAL- Rythms On The Rio - August 22-23

I wanted to let you know about a free festival we are putting on in South Fork CO, on August 22nd and 23rd 2009.

The festival is called Rhythms On The Rio (www.rhythmsontherio.com).

It will be a free 2 day festival with on-site and local camping. It will be a pass the hat donation based benefit for the Rio Grande Headwaters Land Trust, and the High Valley Community Center for kids, and is being put on by The South Fork Music Association, a non-profit volunteer 501-3C Group.

Headling acts will include the Nershi-Law Trio (formerly Honkeytonk Homeslice) and friends, Drew Emmitt, Great American Taxi, and others. Appearing with Bill and Jill Nershi will be Scott Law, and Darol Anger (plus maybe some other unannounced guests). The Darol Anger Trio, and others, will also appear that
day. On August 23rd 2009, Great American Taxi, Susan Gibson, Pete Kartsounes, and others will also be appearing.

The festival will take place on the grassy banks of the Rio Grande river in the San Juan mountains of South Fork CO (just over Wolf Creek Pass from Pagossa Springs and west of Alamosa in the town of South Fork on highway 160), on August 22nd and 23rd 2009. It is easy to get to, and should be a kind, relaxed, real good time for everyone. Tickets are free, but must be downloaded off of the web site.

Seriously beautiful event.

Super kid friendly...the kids banned together as their own little tribe and built moss covered bridges, run amok (as they should), kidnapped adults (Boo...did you ever get 'rescued'?), danced around the fire to the beats, and ate each others food (other peoples food is apparently way better than what ever your own parents brought).

Puppies: totally dog friendly! Adorable little creatures everywhere!

As always, the beat poets...you electronic magicians...gah...there are no words...you all are amazing and where would we all be without the music?

Boo, Dmtree, Zach, and all the art contributors: many thanks! The blacklight art is pure magic in nature...even more so than in the warehouses.

It was my first Earthdance experience, and, well, THANK YOU!

Come camp with friends in the beautiful Colorado forest, howl at the full moon, drum, and dance all night to futuristic beats. Help us and thousands of people across the globe celebrate the ending of summer at Earthdance 2008!

We have something special in store again this year - a full kaleidoscope of musical styles from your favorite DJs and live performers, amazing visual artists, dance performances, fire spinners, workshops, and, of course, you - the people that make these events so wonderful.

The event will begin on Friday evening, Sept. 12th and go until Sunday morning, Sept. 14th, in the foothills less than 1.5 hours from Denver. The Prayer for Peace, invoked simultaneously around the world, is at approximately 5pm on Saturday. More details, musical lineup and workshop schedule are forthcoming.

The event is free; to help cover our costs, we'll be asking for a donation. Give what you can, we always do.

I regretfully announce the cancellation of 8-8-8...
Sorry folks the chance of rain and thunderstorms is to great for this weekend, most of the state is going to feel it so we have no other choice but to cancel this event.We cannot risk life, time and money to go out there set up to get poured on all night.
The open field with one large single tree was not going to be safe with such a high chance of lightning either.
We might be doing a small house party for those who are still into doing something, more details to come if that pans out.

Performers and Drummers wanted for ecstatic drum performance at Apogaea.

Tap into deep ancestral memory and bring it caveman-style. Celebrate like they did 10,000 years ago - raw, unplugged and unrestrained.

Seeking loud drums. Kick drums, marching band drums of any kind, taiko drums, log drums, big djembes, trap sets, etc..

Also seeking noise makers of the primal variety, didgeridoos, bullroars, gongs, finger cymbals, chimes, pots and pans, vocal incantations, chants, shrieks, etc..

Also seeking masks and dancers who will wear them.

The idea behind this performance is to conjure and unleash the chaotic ecstatic mammal beast that exists within all of us. It is essential that all performers are capable of listening while still letting go and releasing as much energy as possible. Good rhythm skills are a plus.

This will be a completely raw unrehearsed intentional performance with the objective being to elicit a raw unrehearsed intentional catharsis for all those who experience it.

I'm seeking as much participation as possible.

Taboot Music & Art Expo---> looking for 20 artists & 2 local bands

We are hosting the "Taboot Music & Art Expo" in downtown Denver on June 7, 2008 from noon to 2am.

The event will be held at a new music venue, "Owsley's Golden Road" and will feature 20-25 10 ft spaces for artists to display their work for sale or just for show, food vendors, alcohol, four bands (including two nationally recognized), 2 dj's, performance artists, and more. We are expecting a crowd of 600-800.

The event will be advertised in the Westword beginning the second week of May, and all over town through hand silk screened posters and handbills beginning May 1st! The headliner is Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band.

Brady’s background degrees are in studio arts and animation from the Art Institute of San Francisco. He enjoys painting as a release of spontaneous thought and reaction, unplanned, and spur of the moment in hopes that each viewer observes it differently, and that each time it is viewed it is seen from a different perspective.

Artist Statement
My artwork is a random release of emotion, thought and skill. I bring to
you the viewer this: a collection of freestyle strokes and unique
patterning: techniques that I have developed over time by years of experimentation.

Each painting is unplanned. It begins and then when I am finished it ends.
The magic occurs when the imagery lives on vicariously through you the
viewer. One day, the painting can mean one thing and then the next day
it will mean something totally different. I leave the paintings
untitled, because they need to be left open for interpretation. All I wish
is for you to observe, breathe, believe, and just be, and see my
work as it is, because…. it is what it is.

In the future I see myself working towards bigger and brighter art
shows, working more with animation and …………decorating the walls of the
world through the immediate interpretation of the mind, body, and soul.

Craig Dermody currently lives and works in Boulder, Colorado where he is currently earning his B.F.A. from the University of Colorado. A Nevada native, he has been exhibited in various local gallery exhibitions in his hometown of Reno. He was most recently featured in the public group exhibition, “(Con)Temporary Gallery” this past summer alongside artists such as, Felix LaBrona, Cynthia Connolly, and John Grider.

“Lately, nothing I make seems to fit in any order, rhyme or reason. I find myself floating from one elaborate, yet static thought to the next. In this time, I have developed the habit of sinking into so many different social environments that I am actually dissolving any evidence of consistency or patterning entirely with regards to subject matter. I’ll be surrounded by drunken teenagers one night, wake up the next day and be in a taxidermy shop interacting with people who haven’t a care in the world as to what’s hanging in their local art gallery and would just as soon search for creative value through the quality of craft in their stuffed carcasses. Through these relationships, I find there to be a broad spectrum of means by which to communicate them. Through evidence of photographs and sculptures, this show serves as a tribute to various experiences over the past two years.”

This year we are planning something much bigger –
an installation of the night sky with 3-dimensional
constellations suspended above people’s heads.
This will be set up in the lower valley of Happy Ass Ranch .

We applied for an art grant this year, as in the past.
Unfortunately, Apo doesn’t have enough money to fully
fund all art projects, and the grant we received covers
only about a quarter of the amount we need. So instead
of abandoning our dream, we decided to raise money
the old-fashioned way – by having a fundraiser. :)

Please join us for an Apogaea art benefit on Friday March 21st, 10pm-5am .

Please come help us make this project a reality!
And while at it, have some fun and dance the night away
with the sounds of your favorite local artists and DJs playing
breaks, techno, psytrance, and IDM.

About the performers:

Androcell is an electronic dub / psychill project that began in 2003, created
by audio producer and digital artist, Tyler Smith, also known as Quasga. Tyler
has experimented with electronic sound forms for over 10 years, designing his
music as an aural habitat for cognizant chillers who seek to experience downtempo
excursions through sound.

Distant System is a divergent, ambient / downtempo side-project that began in
2006, constructed by electronic producer, Tyler Smith (a.k.a. Androcell). Remote audio
expansions designed and sequenced for cerebral migrations and stasis atmospheres. His
debut album "Sprial Empire" is due for release in early 2008.

Ten and Tracer is Jonathan Canupp. He was born in Boulder, Colorado some time ago. Some rappers say they were born with a microphone in their hand; Jonathan was born with a Macbook, Vaio, Roland JP-8000, Roland JX-10, Electrix FX units, Roland MKS-100, Yamaha FB-01, Violin, Flute, Cello, Minidisk recorder, several vintage reel-to-reels (Sony, Gundig), several cassette and micro-cassette recorders, Reaktor, Max/Msp, Ableton Live, FL Studio, and Adobe Audition in his hand(s). He has many hands.
Ten and Tracer has released on many labels, including U-Cover, Bitlab, Archipel, Zymogen, 8bitpeoples, and others. He has supported and headlined with such acts as Thomas Fehlman, Proem, Lusine, Kangding Ray, Sawako, Terminal 11 and CDatakill. Have you heard of these people? His most recent shows in 2007 have earned him a growing reputation in Colorado. He has also played in shows in Belgium, France, Germany and Holland. Have you heard of these places?
Ten and Tracer once had a Wikipedia article about him, but he encouraged people to vandalize it and now it has been removed. Ten and Tracer has more than one-thousand friends. Ten and Tracer lives in Denver, Colorado. Ten and Tracer says "Thanks to everyone for your support and interest. We are friends now."

VJ Movax is one of the sickest VJs in North America, and has gained international notoriety for his incredible visual programming skills. He's performing 2 tour dates with the legendary Plaid next week in Los Angeles at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and another date in SF. They had him write custom midi-controlled audio-reactive software that they'll be controlling themselves for the rest of their tour dates. He's also done video remix projects with OOO, of Planet-Mu, and is the resident video artist for local experimental art/music label Plastic Sound Supply. When we opened for Amon Tobin in April 07, Amon ditched his own visuals for Movax's, because he thought they were so cool!

Is there anyone in or around Fort Collins that has interest in electronica? I've been here since November 18th, and travel here almost every year for the holidaze, but I have yet to meet anyone in the area that's into it. I don't know of any clubs that host such events either.

Metal trash cans and other "STOMP" like percussion needed for three

Me and my two hommies just got a gig in Telluride for a stomp influenced percussion session for a few days at the ski and snowboard festival. We have tons of percussion toys but never knew a metal trash can would cost so much. in which case we need your help. we just want to borrow, if interested, buy. None the less the event is the 13 & 14 of December. Any can, buckets or anything you feel is fun to hit with a drum stick in a rhythmic motion. Let us know, any help is needed. please be quick so we can have some time to rehearse.

Hello OneTribe,

We are about to embark on a huge project - we are representing the third floor of the synagogue - music and decoration for the Oct. 27th party.

This is a special opportunity for OneTribe to really show what we can do: how we can create an environment/ atmosphere.

At this point in time we have about two weeks to create. This is a huge endeavor, but I have faith that we can pull this off in full spectrum.

We need everyone who has a little extra time to come and help. Really-no joke-we need you.

Onetribe presents Earthdance: Sept. 14th-16th

On September 14th-16th, 2007, Onetribe welcomes everyone to join us in celebrating Earthdance.

The event will feature varied styles of electronic music by some of the best local DJs and performers. Come dance with us to the sounds of psytrance, house, progressive, breaks, techno, drum'n'bass, and downtempo. The music will be going from 8:30pm on Friday until around noon on Sunday morning, with the ceremonial Prayer for Peace taking place at 5pm on Saturday afternoon. The full lineup will be released shortly.

There will also be various workshops, held on Saturday, during the day. If you are interested in having a workshop, please contact sage_persephone at yahoo dot com.

This year's gathering will be held in the lush forested foothills of the Rockies, less than 1.5 hours from Denver. We'll be asking for a donation to help cover our costs, but no one will be turned away. The 1st is a psytrance set I did for the Infinity 777 event on 7-07-07 here in Colorado, its called "777"
A mix of killer new tracks all from this year from Russia and Mexico with two new tracks from my new stash.

The 2nd is a mellow IDM / Break beat set called "Intelligent Break Dance Music"
I put this together just for fun , I realy like this set and it seems that everyone els likes it too.
Mellow and psychedelic breaky Idm ish dance music from our lifetime.

Just wondering what you all thought...

I have run across many people who don't like psytrance/darkpsy - they talk about the beats being too heavy and hurting their heads. That the vibrations just didn't vibe with their head space.
Being the energy working gal I am, I've started recommending that these people concentrate on the music with their lower chakras - the root - the groin - whatever you want to call it.
To stop listening to it with their heads and start feeling it with their bodies.
Many of them have come back to me in bliss and with thanks, they have found a love for psytrance.

It seems to work, but I'm wondering about what you all think?
What is it about psytrance which gets you out and onto the dance floor or behind the decks or even just bopping on the sidelines?

Onetribe is more than psytrance, but that is our primary music focus usually and I'm wondering if you've been able to explain your personal love for it to others in such a way that they are able to experience it in a new light - so to speak.

It is Schmid-E and all of the Onetribe djs which brought me into my awareness and fiendish love for it after all.
Thanks guys for opening up this world to me and showing me a music I'd only dreamed of before.

Liquid Lounge @ Apo roster

I have a tentative list of people who expressed interest about playing at the Liquid Lounge.

If you are already booked on 5 other stages and cannot make it, let me know.
If you have a strong preference or antipathy for certain set times, let me know.

If you are not on the list and would like to play - or know someone good who is looking to play, let me know and I will try to fit you in. We are looking for chill, eclectic, and creative music of the (mostly) electronic variety.

The assigned set times will be subject to change. As far as I know, the Lounge will be going starting Friday evening into the late night Friday, starting up again Saturday during the day, and going until whenever Sunday.

Onetribers are organizing two camps, both involving sound systems (surprise?)

Bass Cave makes a return to the HAR !!! Courtesy of Jagged Sound - Jesse and Craig in particular. They will need help setting up the environs and clean-up - I'm going to help them, but I'm also bringing a camp - please see below.

Liquid Lounge - a place of refuge for the busy head - that's my camp, and I will need some help as well, mostly manning the chai stand if I get around to actually having one and keeping an eye on the decks. =) We also welcome campers.

I am looking for an extra carport shade structure right now - anyone got one they can lend me?

hey y'all, i was directed here and it seems to be just the sort of sourcei was looking for. i'm moving from portland OR to denver for the summer, doing an environmental science internship downtown, and i'm putting out the feelers for any space openings in an artist/musician/activist conscious home for a few months. i'm coming into town on the 27th of may, probably staying til august, and would appreciate any leads if you know of any such spaces.

Baku: Eater of Dreams- Saturday April 21st

April 21st Baku: Eater of Dreams – an event inspired by the unexplored depths of Japanese mythology and tradition.

The dream will begin @ 9pm with a traditional tea ceremony conducted by the beautiful geishas and accompanied by lunar grooves from dj DMTree. It will continue with a Dream tale of Baku, a magical vision realized through traditional Japanese dance theater and accompanied by Taiko drumming.

At midnight DJ Solomoon will take things up a notch with some jazzy trip-hop. In accordance with the evening's events follows a martial arts presentation courtesy of Charles Benham and guests. Buddhabomb will round off the night with exotic oriental beats.
