Re: Five 3-Minute Films Part 3
Wed, June 20, 2007 - 4:15 AMWow...they can't seem to figure out how they want the show to be. Last week, they did the eliminations at the end, and last night it was at the beginning. Moving from 2 episodes per week to 1...changing hosts. What a mess! The ratings continue to fall. Such a shame cause I'm really enjoying it.
I was so happy to say "So long, Marty!"...arrogant prick.
Zach's short was great (as per usual). I was bored to tears by the talkie love spat, and the tree horror film was terrible! Now I can't remember the fourth film, but oh well...

Re: Five 3-Minute Films Part 3
Wed, June 20, 2007 - 8:34 AMYeah, Zach's flick was the winner last night by a long shot.
Either Mateen or Jess is going home.
Jess sucks. Her tree film was just as bad as her light bulb film a few weeks ago but in a completely different way. And either way, I'm quite confidant that I could have submitted something better than either of the things Jess put out. NYU film school must be crawling in its skin with this representative of their craft.
Mateen's story was not only boring: the production value was garbage. The hand held filming, tight shots, and poor sound all made it really tedious to watch. And I have no idea why they gave him kudos on the writing and acting. It seemed very awkward to me.
Will's eye film was cute. Nothing groundbreaking but a fine entry.
Jason's healing hero story was completely derivative of The 4400.
Zach's a star.

Wed, June 20, 2007 - 8:37 AMBTW...as if we need any further evidence that Zach is indeed the favorite...
He's the only contestant for whom anyone bothered creating an individual Wikipedia page!

Re: Five 3-Minute Films Part 3
Thu, June 21, 2007 - 3:39 PMYep, he's the next Speilberg, that is fo sho! I kinda liked Jason's morality play......it was different but not so different like that tree crap that Jess did. Damn, that was garbage. And Mateen's I can't even remember other than it totally did nothing for me.
