Sometimes I feel like there are open mics happening all the time here in Victoria...I want to form a directory so that I don't miss all the fun! So far, I know of Ocean Island Wednesdays and Logan's on the same night...Pluto's - Tuesdays? Steamers - Mondays? Others?

Sooke/Brentwood Bay Folk Clubs have limited open mic 3 song plus featured performers, the September show in Brentwood Bay is a group from Nelson $5 contact 652-1758,
very eclectic genres, there is a free concert in the park at Brentwood Bay this Wed also witha group called Shaky Ground 6 to 8? Pioneer Park corner of Clarke Rd and West Saanich -

Mon, August 29, 2005 - 10:54 PMHave an unconfirmed tip from a musician friend that Fat Tuesday's at 123 Gorge E. has a blues jam every Saturday at 2 pm.
Also www.livevictoria.com is a good site for tuning into the local scene. That site says that Ocean Island has a Saturday night open mic.

It should be a good change for the better. I may not have the ear that sean had but I am willing to take lessons on how to adjust the amp better. Maybe now you guys might stay to the end of the night like last year and not leaving early to go to bell's, (traitors. lol) let's have some good old fashion fun and party like its 2005, lol. cheers.
