This is a definite "fusion" workshop that will be loaded with lots of new things to try and great music!!!!

12 - 3:30pm @ Scotia Dance Ctr. - 677 Davie St.

This workshop will include a conditioning warm up, drills for thrills, and tribal fusion 'cool bits' to keep yourself on the cutting edge - cool tunes(Tobin & more!), cool moves - stuff you don't wanna miss... pushing the boundaries to new limits!
This workshop will include energy work to maximize our grounding and connection to the music, plus, some of my favorite styles to fuse - Tribal vocabulary, Classical Indian dance & Hip Hop influences - short pieces of choreography - to bring the summer session to a close and "Rock it!"

*bring yoga mat (if you have one) & water!

$40 advance price
$45 at the door

Sunday July 15 ~ 12 - 3:30pm Scotia Dance Ctr. - 677 Davie St. (Vancouver BC)
" Kickin Your ATS" Combos!!!

Keep your ATS dancing constantly moving forward and staying on the cutting edge with some cool "Sisters of Alchemy" combos to apply!!! This beautifully hypnotic style of dance always feels exciting when you throw in new ideas and keep it feeling alive!
Combos for all your tribal (or other) styling - can be used for ATS improv or in choreographed numbers. Good for any level of experience and any styling. ~ It's all about the ideas and trying them out!

Workshop includes conditioning warm up, technique drills, and combos for both fast & slow improv or choreographies!... and maybe a little dancin' to the drum, too!

* bring yoga mat (if you have one), finger cymbals (if you like to stay in practice with your fast moves combos - it's totally your choice!), and water, water, water!!!

Tribal Duets & Slinky Sets Workshop

Registration is open and starting to fill up in my spring workshops (Zills dat Killz - Mar.10 & Tribal Duets - Apr.15), so please do sign up soon if you want to get in on them!

Sun. Apr.15/07 - "Tribal Duets & Slinky Sets" workshop (the 2nd workshop in my series this spring):

12 - 3:30pm @ Scotia Dance Ctr. - 677 Davie St.

This workshop will look at learning to dance in 2's and developing a connection. We will focus on both moves for lead & follow tribal, and tribal fusion - borrowing flavors from Indian style & Hip Hop style (cool, smooth moves), covering both styles - something for everyone. Intro to "energy practice and development" for ultimate presentation. Drilling specific moves & seqences with one or two combos, for each style. Smooth is the word & Slinky enough to make you say "oooh - aaaah"!
Workshop includes conditioning warm up, drills, and much practice in moves and presentation. Good for any level, or any style of bellydance.

Bring yoga mat, if you have one & lots of water!

$40 advance payment
$45 at the door
$75 for both workshops (Tribal Duets & Zills dat Killz) - payment recieved by Mar.8/07

starting a business!

Hello everyone!

I am following a passion, and have started a business making clothing and other things for bellydancers. I'm really excited about it, and wanted to share this with you all.

The business is called WITCHAZEL Designs. So yes, that was me that sent the listings and topic posts to this and other tribe sites. You may have thought it was random spam, but it was actually me getting the word out.

I am currently making 3 styles of skirts, and I will be wearing my designs to classes in the fall (I take class with Lava), and anticipate vending at the MEDA Bazaar, so those are two ways you will be able to see what the skirts are like. The other is to view the business profile and the tribe on Tribe, which is updated with new stuff as I make more skirts and get new fabrics.

I will do most of my business through orders. I have 20 fabrics currently available. You just need to choose which fabric and which style, send me an email with your order information, and then *presto* you have a faboo new skirt coming to you in the mail!
