FOR THOSE WHO KNOW THAT BEING GREEN AND HEALING THE WORLD FOR OUR PURPOSE IS MUCH MORE COMPLEX THAN BUYING INTO THE MARKETED AND MISINFORMED nonsense that drives much of the new green.

Trying to provide a place where we can debate the complexity of issues in this world revolving around the new Green, marketing environmentalism, locally produced and purchased items, fair trade, and the long lasting impacts of all of them.

Ethanol is causing tortilla riots in Mexico,
Veal is more sustainable than free range,
a Vegans carbon load is bigger than an omnivores,
Free Trade is possibly putting people into poverty,
Locally bought food has more carbon emissions...

it goes on and on.

Not to be down on the trend.. we love green, and healing the world. But it is important to stay well versed in the complexity, rather than turn a blind eye in the name of feeling comfy and cozy with our beliefs.

Do not pray to false idols, and be careful when you are buying into consumerism.

Wouldn't it be convenient if we could simply consume our way to a better world?
