Yes, I was at the Miami Bellydance Convention & it was wonderful. I especially enjoyed the workshops, lots of instructors were there to teach from everywhere, you decided how many workshops you wanted to attend if you brought a packet. etc.

Both Friday and Saturday Gala shows were really good. I perfomed at the Friday show and met lots of great dancers, everyone was friendly and supportive.

The convention was held at a very nice hotel downtown Miami easy access to everything.

Natalie and her staff were wonderful, well organized, & very friendly staff, good vendors.

The instructors gave 100% especially the ones I've taken which was Bozenka and Yamil Annum from Argentina.

Lastly, Saturday night Gala show of instructors gave a powerhouse performance and rocked the house.

I would highly recommend going and cant wait for the next convention,. Not to be missed (smile)

Hi Christina. I went as well and agree with Sparkle - it was a great experience!

The workshops were wonderfully diverse, the ones i took included Oriental Techniques, Power of the Baladi and Secret of the Shimmy, Classical Egyptian and Playful Egyptian Drum Solo. There were also workshops in Turkish choreography, Flamenco, cane and finger cymbals It was really hard to choose and interesting to see so many different "flavors" of bellydance.

Meeting other dancers and watching the performances was wonderful as well. I'm so glad I went and will definitely plan on it for next year. :)

    Jessica
