<div>I just bought an iomega 500gb usb external hard drive and need some help understanding and making it work. <br/>I've tried the website etc etc. <br/> <br/>Basically I plugged it in and it appears as an icon on my desktop below macintosh hd but as far as making it do something I am lost. The only thing i was able to do was open it as a folder and drag all of my files into there, which took a long time uploading, but it still says I have only 2.5 gb left. but four hundred something when i click on the iomega icon. I'm doing something wrong. <br/> <br/>I bought this with the intention of freeing up some of my space for garageband, but ironically garageband is running worse than it did before. I am really sensitive to refresh rate, I need 85hz.
