Reconciliation process

Here is an interesting bit from the Wolf Creek tribe history vaults.
A faerie elder had posted of his early experience at the Wolf Creek Sanctuary,
and a faerie who today is an active Nomenus member,
wrote a rather musical note of response.
I wonder,
did this current Nomenus member have to go through a reconciliation process also?




"20 some odd years ago, I attended my first Breitenbush Gathering
known as Northwest Men in the Woods - some of you were there.

It was announced at that gathering the effort we now know as
the Nomenus Sanctuary at Wolf Creek, Oregon was just getting
started ... as the purchase of the land was being negotiated.

It was announced at the time, the sanctuary space would be men
only.

Fast forward to August 14th, 2005 (last year) I visited the
land near Wolf Creek surprised to find females (gender) there.
I don't know the event, if there was one, but I felt completely
out of place.

That night I slept in my truck ... and quietly left mid morning
the next day ... thinking will I ever return? So far, I have not
made the effort to do so.

    You don't even realize how offensive it is for a faggot who has developed a place for faggot spirituality, sexuality, culture, etc. to be told we don't want "pussy" (your term, I don't use it), on the Nomenus Radical Faerie Sanctuary even if women cook and suck cock.
    It is very offensive for a woman to ask a man she knows to be a faggot to suck his cock. It is as offensive as it would be to a straight man who is come onto by a faggot.
    Also many women would be insulted to have their value defined by cooking and cocksucking.
    Note that that you are a man posting this speaking for women.
    I'm guessing (I may be wrong) that you are a well meaning young bi-sexual man who hates labels like "bisexual" & "man" , despite biology and desire, who has not yet reached a deeper understanding of these issues. This is not meant to be derogatory as your post seemed to me.

    As a faggot who participated in buying the land and working to create a faggot community, I have been distanced from Wolf Creek, and somewhat even from the Radical Faerie movement, by those who don't respect faggots who build a richly deserved space for themselves.
    Our desire for a faggot tribal homeland on land we invested a huge amount of time, money, blood & sweat to create, has been interpreted by some to be misogyny or fear of women. That is also very offensive.
    To me this is ignorance, which is not stupidity, and can be remedied by education. Also the original Radical Faeries were faggots, not bi-sexuals or women. Most of the complaints about exclusion are coming from men, not women.

    As for refusing labels, that's like a chemist refusing to acknowledge the unique properties of each element on the periodic table.
    These are my feelings and ideas , which for years have been met with hostility by some in the faerie community, again I believe because of lack of understanding.

      I did not write that song, current Nomenus and Sanctuary participant Synergy did, and posted that song in the Wolf Creek tribe, where most who posted about it in response approved of it. I did not.
      He was mocking Sacred male space, to the approval of those who now run the Sanctuary for their pleasure and benefit.
      Gay men are still " welcome", with permission, by those who collect the money and call the shots, which you do not, friend Jerry.
      With respect Jerry, you are only history there.
