Its never too early to begin preparations. After all its only 4 months away!
I won't miss this for anything. Last years was just that good.
My thoughts are to fly into Reno (or Sacramento depending on airfare), rent a van or large occupancy vehicle, and make the short drive over. I really would much rather do something like that instead of driving the entire what, 18 hours from Phoenix? No thanks! It was fun and all but man that was rough.
I figure if we don't get a big enough group of people we could always just rent a small car. I'd also much rather make the drive from Reno mainly for the scenery. Apparently the drive from Sacramento is booooooooring.

Re: Gemini Fest
Fri, February 1, 2008 - 8:40 AMYes, definitely. Carpooling from the airport would be purrrfect! We'll be flying to Reno then after Gemini flying straight to Cleveland for the week and then back here. I'm not missing Gemini and we have a wedding to go to around the Solstice......it'll be an action packed week :)

Fri, February 1, 2008 - 10:06 AMTickets to Reno are steep right now. Hopefully they'll go down. I doubt it thought. Don't prices usually go up as the date gets closer? -

Re: Gemini Fest
Fri, February 1, 2008 - 1:14 PMWhat we really need is a private jet. Heck, I'd even settle for a little prop plane. Heck, I'd even volunteer to ride on the wing if there wasn't enough room inside for everyone. Just trow an occasional peanut out the window to me. -

Re: Gemini Fest
Mon, February 4, 2008 - 2:59 AMthat sounds like a good idea.
I just checked Southwest and pulled up $100 tickets one way. $200 round trip isn't too bad! If we all pitched in for a rental vehicle I bet it wouldn't be too much per person. I may lock in my ticket very soon. -
