Hello Folks,
A while back, a long while back, I posted that I was not sure I could keep up with the requests to join and wanted to open up the group. It started out strong! And it was beautiful. I would love to see some of the discussions continue. The purpose of this group is to focus on TEACHING. What are the complications that arise, what are the beautiful moments, what have been the most painful and most joyful (and everything in between) learning moments.
So, to update you: I have received 30 membership requests since the last time I logged in. I approved 13. The other 17 did not provide any reasoning for wanting to join (which it states cleary in the intro that you must do so).
So, welcome to the new 13! We are now 119 strong. I am sure we have something to offer each other to keep our heads from getting too big, but staying just big enough that we know what we have to offer.
So, please share your stories. I look forward to reading them
Blessings
Christine

Re: New Membership
Thu, February 15, 2007 - 6:05 AMI'm one of the new members. Thank you so much for approving me! I am a new high priestess (this month is my one year anniversary) - in the order of the white moon tradition. (the OWM tradition was based loosely on the reclaiming tradition in california). i've only been teaching students "formally" for about a year, and at the same time often teaching and/or leading by example for just as long. i am still finding it difficult to learn when to share advice and when to step back and let others learn their own lessons. i'm looking forward to being a part of this tribe!

Re: New Membership
Thu, February 15, 2007 - 3:01 PMI must have had good timing!
I suppose it's fair to post a little bit about me. I go by the name Hawthorn, I'm a regional Clan Head of the Black Forest Clan in the Western NY area. I am legal clergy out of the lovely state of Pennsylvania and run a training seminary for other Wiccan clergy. I've been Wiccan for about 20yrs now. I've also done explorations into other Pagan and Heathen spiritual practices and have a deep appreciation for what the Recons and Revivalists are doing as well as Indigenous practitioners. I believe that one should have a 'when in Rome' attitude when it comes to exploring cultural beliefs and practices, and learn the language of the system they are in ( rather than try to 'plug and play' what they know).
I've been blessed with a life that allows me to not have to split my life into two worlds so I am what I am 24-7. I run an occult shop, tattoo professionally, am an amateur writer/belly dancer/paranormal investigator/etc. Above all I do my best to help others grow themselves spiritually.
Finally, I'm delighted to find a list of others who teach their respective paths. I am sure I will learn a great deal here :-)

Re: New Membership
Mon, June 4, 2007 - 7:28 PMHi everyone! I have been a initiated priestess of the Order of the Sacred Grove, a collective of independent harmonious groves (or covens) for the last 5 years. I just hived off this last Blue Moon and am now the High Priestess of the Sandalwood Grove. I am currently in the process of admitting apprentices into my group and want to start my grove off healthy and strong. Along with the support and guidance of my OSG group, I am also looking to share information and ideas with others on this tribe. I posted a blurb about my grove under the listings section of this tribe as well. Thank you for having me. :)
