I don't believe Heathens use such quotes as 'Old Ways'? What exactly is the indigenous principles of Northern Europe? I like to define this as, 'Northern European Mysteries', or looking at what the principles of a heathen would have been as a vinur has suggested, 'Forn Sed' - a folk way. Can you elaborate your thoughts more?

That is because when heathens held the reigns the ways they followed were not OLD.
now that Christianity, Islam and Buddhism are the major tennets of the world
to be heathen is passe or Nouveau, depending on your circle of associations.
