i'd like to conduct a little poll to get an idea of fair rates.

what rates do you (models) charge for paid modeling in the following categories?

1-artistic nude (not porn)
2-boudoir/lingerie
3-fashion/artistic - fully clothed

thanks! that is very useful. good to know that my rates are reasonable. unfortunately i only seem to get contacted by photographers on model mayhem with "limited budgets."

Sorry - a bit late, and not from a model but from a photographer.

Rates can vary so much by experience, usage of the images, location and much more. I have found models here in the San Fran bay area for fashion, editorial and covered lingerie/swimsuit for $15/ hour. And some of those were from agencies. I've hired models for Playboy style work for $25-$75 and hour. Anytime that I paid the model I believed that I was going to be able to recoup the costs from some sort of sale.

Like a lot of people, mostly I am trying to acquire paid work - paid to me - for anything up to and including Playboy style images. The real world works where the client pays an ad agency or creative director, who hires a model and photographer. The online world of modeling mostly exists because cameras and digitals became so inexpensive, and GWCs (if you don't know that term, let me know) wanted to see naked women.

PK - I would love to shoot with you, but if I don't have an immediate outlet for the images, at best I can offer trade. Check out my work here, my own site (www.ucphoto.net), at Modelmayhem (#18729), OMP (#1574), Modelcoast (#1630), Myspace (myspace.com/ucphotog) and who knows where else. You might also check out - not sure if this is the right name - the Bay Area Models' Guild. I've worked with a few of them, but again, on a trade / port building basis. Most don't have money to pay me, and I'm not looking to give everything away.

Best wishes and BTW - I'm in San Leandro if you are interested or would like to chat more.
