Here's another one.
I was a sophmore at Vallejo Sr High school at the height of the Zodiac killings. I remember the police escorts between each bus and watching/protecting students as they came off the bus...why? Because the killer apparently had threatened to pick off students as they came off the buses. (en.wikisource.org/wiki/Zodi...er_letters letter dated Oct. 13, 1969)
However, the MOST bizarre thing was that 5 years ago, while I was staying with my 95 yr old Grandmother, she started babbling about knowing who the Zodiac killer was and that ACTUALLY he was the son of her best friend, Bernice Allen. I blew it off
When I told my mother that dear old Grandma was starting to make up stories.....like Lee Allen being the Zodiac killer my mother very adamently said.... Yep... they (the older generation) were convinced that it probably was Lee (as he was known to them).
This just blows me away...that I would be connected to this!!!!!
And a movie is coming out this week about this.

Re: The Zodiac Killer
Wed, February 28, 2007 - 10:30 AMI think it is still unsolved......if I remember right........I always wonder about serial killers who just kind of disappear.
When I lived in Seattle it was during the whole Green River Killer thing. I was one of the few who thought that maybe he had died. Then they caught him. Turned out that he started leaving the victims other places besides the Green River.
The Northwest breeds very strange serial killers. Think Ted Bundy and there was another dude that was killing prostitutes out of Spokane. Yuck.

they still believe Allen is the killer. But they'll never know. It's still unsolved.
