Anyone care to appologize for this moron this time?
Oh wait... let me guess, Poor persecuted Paul was just trying to show his "Religious Expression" By attempting to burn down (or blow up) Grace Cathedral.

Re: Well what do you know, it turns out Paul Addis was a Fruit Loop After All!
Mon, October 29, 2007 - 11:04 PMPorter:
It's only _alleged_ that he was trying to burn down the cathedral.
" Deputy Chief Morris Tabak said Addis had only a small amount of explosives. 'Did he have the capability to do substantial damage? Absolutely not,' Tabak said. "
www.episcopalcafe.com/lead/
When asked if the explosives were capable of doing substantial damage, the chief didn't just use the word "no", but "absolutely not".
We'll see what we find out as more facts roll in. But it's starting to sound like he had a bunch of fireworks, nothing more.

Mon, October 29, 2007 - 11:12 PMi admit it. he's obviously not very mentally stable. especially to do it while his other trial is ongoing.
still glad he torched the man early though.

Re: Well what do you know, it turns out Paul Addis was a Fruit Loop After All!
Tue, October 30, 2007 - 1:39 AMI think this is just brilliant on Addis' part.
He got arrested for trying to burn down a stone building with a handful of firecrackers.
Since this is impossible and any idiot should know it's impossible, they'll be trying to prosecute him for attempting to do something they can reasonably assume he knew not to be possible.
That makes it a bullshit charge, and they'll have to let him go with a bunch of bizarre publicity.
Go Addis!

Tue, October 30, 2007 - 1:58 AM"The bomb squad and ATF descended upon Grace Cathedral in San Francisco overnight.
This after they received an alarming 911 call from a citizen who had overheard a man threaten to burn down the church.
Police found a man in his 30's outside the church with a backpack. Inside were a few M-80's and firecrackers.
They doubt he'd been able to do much damage to the church since the doors were locked.
Authorities already knew who their suspect was because the caller had given them a name, with which they were able to pull up a previous mug shot.
They now have another mug shot of him.
He's under arrest, facing charges of fireworks possession and attempted arson."

Porter.... sorry, but it seems that he just had some fireworks.
(The fear-mongering press reported "fireworks" in the breaking news section, but then changed that to explosives in later reports. "Explosives" sells more papers.) -

Re: Well what do you know, it turns out Paul Addis was a Fruit Loop After All!
Tue, October 30, 2007 - 2:23 AMIts pretty silly. He really is a fruit loop, but he certainly had a valid and intelligent criticism of the direction burning man has taken and I dont feel that either of his crimes could really be considered arson.
Setting stone on fire with a firecracker?

Sat, November 3, 2007 - 12:31 PMHey Porter. Who apologized for him in the first place? Most of us were celebrating his accomplishment at "getting to the man" ...
We were applauding, not apologizing. Your post makes no sense.

Sat, November 3, 2007 - 8:35 PMArson Arrest
Written by Jean Elle at 10:00 P.M.
A San Francisco man is in police custody after officers found him at Grace Cathedral with a utility belt full of fireworks and a fake gun in his backpack.
The bomb squad searched 35-year-old Paul Addis's apartment last night and carried out bags of evidence. Addis is already facing arson charges for lighting the burning man on fire early in Nevada. Police were looking for him at Grace Cathedral after someone called in a tip saying Addis said the Church wouldn't be around much longer.

the Fruit Loop gets the last laugh After All!
Sat, November 3, 2007 - 8:56 PMPorter, its obvious you didn't read very thoroughly.
The cops knew his name. The call came from someone who knew Addis. How many terrorists introduce themselves (by their right name yet!) to bystanders before they blow shit up?
Addis is not mentally retarded. Therefore, its about 110% certain he knew you can't "blow up or burn down" a stone building with a fake gun and some firecrackers. Therefore, this was just a staged thing, the tip-off call was either faked or Addis said something to some gullible nitwit (like you, Porter), a tool who he knew would freak out and call the cops. Knowing Addis' sense of humor, it was probably the latter. I think its pretty funny.
fruit loop sure does know how to conduct a fucko political campaign. like any activist, he's willing to spend a cpl nights in jail to keep the media fed..

Re: Well what do you know, it turns out Paul Addis was a Fruit Loop After All!
Mon, November 5, 2007 - 2:20 PM(this is someone else's observation)... what if he was afraid of the sentance for the burning man stunt and staged this to be found not clear in the head and sent to a institution instead of a jail? -

Re: Well what do you know, it turns out Paul Addis was a Fruit Loop After All!
Mon, November 5, 2007 - 2:32 PMThat is a reasonable possibility Maud. More likely than him thinking you can burn down a stone building with a firecracker.
