LOUD NOISES!!!

Sorry, I just watched Anchorman again.

I went to Polynesian Night this weekend. Great food, great dancers, and no one got lit on fire this year! The guy who had his hair caught on fire last year stayed far away from the dancers. We get a long weekend this coming weekend, so who knows what trouble there will be had.

AWESOME! I had my first performance at a big student hafla in our area. Great performances, totally awesome vending! HAD A BLAST!! This week it will be figuring out what to do with two yards of black boot leather...

My troupe had our monthly coffee house show Saturday (pics to be posted soon). We REALLY screwed up one of our troupe numbers that we have been doing for a couple of years. Don't know how THAT happened! Luckily, the audience was all family, friends & some other local bellydancers - so we could all laugh about it. Ironically the song is called "Don't Forget". This week is a busy week: Wednesday - going to last class "party" of dance teacher's newbie class, Thursday - my last class "party", Friday - daughter has cheer practice, Saturday -daughter has State cheer competiton, Sunday - AZ Corsairs gathering.

Well.......Xira & I went to Wichita to vend & take Salome and Naxi's 'Burlesque Bellydance Fusion" workshop. Xira & I tickled ourselves quite a bit because watchign Salome & Naxi work together was like watching ourselves - very out-of-body experience...lol. And then we had a *great* time going out to dinner afterwards at a local greek place with the girls, their SO's & M'Chelle. Time spent with moms yesterday...

This week, we have BD class on Tues (& we need to start choregraphing Black Betty, XIRA!!), then I'm going with my Mom to her FIRST bellydance class ever on Thurs, then I'm helping one of our other "semi-retired" troupemates do a run-through on her wedding makeup sometime this weekend. Oh, and I'm sure I'll spend some quality time with the new boy. ::grin::

Hmm. I am headed to Intermediate/Advanced class on Tuesday night. 1 1/2 hours of Michele and Barb kickin' our asses. Whoo hoo! Then I am "teaching" the poi class on Thursday night. Will be my second ever teaching class, first one went great considering I'm not all that advanced just yet but am teaching Newbs. Then we have Tribal fusion after that. Fun! And Saturday is the local Ren Fest gig, yay! It's one of my fave performances that we do. Whee!

Then? Then??? My vacation starts Wednesday of next week where I am headed down to Bella's place for one night and off to HPF 2008 for camping and fun. Yay!
