<div>ah, got this from a friend (a moment ago) <br/>when i told him i was planning to attend the opening... <br/>not sure why this wasn't posted by its author, but oh well -- <br/> <br/>Hey folks, <br/>So I sent out an email about the Birth of the Pearl opening night being postponed due to the abrupt rescinding of the lease for the warehouse space. Apparently the word did not get relayed to many or all of the peeps I sent it out too because I have had several people contact me still intending to go tonight. So this is what I get for thinking I can say something once during mercury retrograde and expecting it to get across. And I would absolutely hate to have some of you beautiful people in your fabulous drag showing up with love and support to an empty warehouse. So please, please, please spread the word to anyone you knew planning to go. <br/> <br/>As a footnote about what actually happened with the warehouse: Sometimes things just aren't meant to be. This warehouse literally dropped into our laps. It was cleared, cleaned, we were given keys, told to move in. In a moment of self-preservation we decided not to move shit in until we signed a lease. Smart witch. Once the actual landlord showed up, she was rather reluctant to give us the space. I think the silver platter factor of the offer dropped some of our incognito-trust-me-I'm-normal superpowers and took us a little off guard. So while we were out of town for the weekend, the lease was signed over to someone else and we had to quick-like-a-bunny move all our building supplies out. So, in conclusion, the Pearl will still be born, but the gestation period for a pearl is apparently longer than we anticipated. So, darling people, thank you for all your love and support. If any ears hear about opening warehouse space do give us a ring, so to speak.
