Subincision

I have just started a subincision project with a friend of mine who is willing to let me practice on him.
Can anyone recommend the length of time between cuts as we left it 2 weeks and when clamped it did not compress the last cut area flat.
I think this was due to the scar tissue being too new. If this is the case how long do we need to wait or what do we need to do to shorten the time between cuts.

Why are you waiting so long between cuts? You should do it almost everyday to keep the fresh cuts from rehealing...when you wait so long you end up cutting scar tissue over and over....and if you dont clamp it to where its paper thin and see through you are wasting your time.as it will fill back up with blood and look like nothing has ever happenend....when I was doing mine. I did it everyday and then packed it with vaseline so the new cuts when heal back to themselves.....get some numbing agent like benzocaine or lidocaine. most oral pain medicine has 20 percent benzocaine which is enough.....this is just my side of it.....

As I read it Scarlet does not seem to have access to her subject every day, it looks as if she can only meet on a 2weekly basis so please take that into consideration when replying to her post.
Not everyone has the time available to cut every day.
My advice would be to wait until the new scar tissue starts to soften up a little this should take from 4 to 6 weeks after this time try clamping again and leave it a little longer than you normally would say about an hour and a quarter. Then take the clamp off and see if it has worked as expected, if so carry on with your cutting. If not don't cut and leave it a while longer to heal.

I read nothing about her only being able to cut on a 2 weekly basis...I read it to say they waited for 2 weeks to do it again..I dont know if you have a subcision...but from first hand experience if I leave mine more than a week it heals back...if you wait 4 to 6 weeks you are doing nothing but cutting over scar tissue over and over...so looks like you need to reread her post before and take that into consideration...

I did my sub incision all in one go I just clamped and had the stitches in either side and ready to go opened up a clamp tied up the stitches did the same thing until 3 on each side and one in the centre you don't have to worry about re growth are too much bleeding stitches in for one week and then Took them out by the end of the month completely healed

You might want to do as much as possible and either stitching the sides up or use a cautery to seal it off.
