I'm sewing like crazy, while trying to keep my little princesses from killing one another over summer break. To make matters worse, I'm teaching vacation bible school next week, which I completely forgot about, so I'll pretty much lose a full week I thought I had to get ready.
So how are everybody else's preparations going?

I haven't done any sewing. I haven't doneany packing. I haven't built anything or painted anything... This year at pennsic is going to be interesting.

Re: Pennsic Preparations
Mon, July 9, 2007 - 7:51 AMYikes, it is frightening that it is less than a month away! I'm also making a lot of lists. I've hit up my daughter's god-mother to make some garb for her, and we hit the fabric store yesterday. I'm gonna try to wip up a few t-tunics over the next few weeks. In the meantime, DH has to make a canopy for Lydia's wagon, bed frame for us, and a clothes rack.
We had sort of delayed the preparations because we are going through the adoption process and we thought there might be a possibility that we might be bringing home a baby in August. We found out 2 weeks ago that the birthmother changed her mind and decided to keep the baby, so now we're scrambling with the prep work.
I'm looking forward to this (am I crazy to look forward to bringing a toddler to Pennsic!!!!). We set up our tent in the yard, and Lydia loves playing in it, she's even napped in it.
I appreciate the bath tips you guys provided earlier.

Re: Pennsic Preparations
Fri, July 13, 2007 - 5:52 AMI look forward to takign Drew each year to Pennsic. Sure I miss my wild crazy singleish asult nights out at pennsic but I wouldn't trade it for a moment of seeing the look in Drew's eyes when he realizes that he is outdoors allthe time for two whole weeks and he can play forever. I also relish the precious look of outright shock in his face when he also realizes that he will not have TV or Video Games for two whole weeks.... I relish that expression on his face.
I haven't made any garb this year. I usually sew something but this year I haven't sewn a blessed thing. I am building a kitchen set up for my camp - that will be interesting. I am also plannign the fencing.
It will all be fun!
