Do you try to make peace between your friends who don't get along, or do you stay out of it.
I have a tribe friend who, frankly, I adore, and who amuses me no end, but he is always in trouble somewhere. Personally, I think it's up to others to choose thier friends and to let me choose mine, but I do sometimes want to defend them from him, or him from them. Not sure I'd be able to have much effect, though.

I've met him in real life and we talk on the phone...........so when ever he seems to be jumping off the deep end, I give him a call and tell him to chill out. I don't publicly defend him - there's no point - and he can take care of himself just fine.

It's always a shame to see people of good will get upset with one another over a silly misunderstanding. Especially when it escalates.

Fri, May 2, 2008 - 11:27 PMI haven't had this happen on Tribe yet. I do have real life friends that have had disagreements. Sometimes big ones. I do try to help them make peace, but what I do seems to have very little effect. In the instance that jumps to mind right away, I've had to choose between the two friends. Unfortunately I have lost someone I've been friends with since high school, she was my best friend then, because her boyfriend does not get along with mine. A huge conflict happened a few years ago that we have not been able to recover from no matter what I have tried. -

Sat, May 3, 2008 - 4:19 AMDepends how close the friend is. If it is someone I speak to regularly then people can go whistle if they have problems. However if it's someone I friended and then never really had much contact with, I will delete them. As I did yesterday with someone.
