What if...

What if Tribe does go under? What would you do? I'm not privy to specific goings on with Tribe management but it doesn't look very good to me and the fresh paint from the recent subscriptions is really starting to flake and fall off. So, without a panic, lets just think about what we would do if tomorrow Tribe was gone.

Well I've only recently joined Tribe and know a few cool people but I'm struggling to find decent people and active groups so if I woke up tomorrow and Tribe was gone I'd probably not care that much. Ask me again in six months. If we're all still here!!

There are some on here that I have gotten to like quite a bit. They know how to contact me if they see fit. Most are casual acquaintances, though, so they can live with or without me. Then there are some who would wish they had never met me .... but they are another story.

I would miss it very much, and miss the people I interact with here. There are only a handful that I have exchanged e-mail addresses with, and these we'd likely e-mail each other occasionally. Some of these people I'd e-mail back and forth regularly, if we were Jonesing for tribe. But I doubt very much I'd look to another networking site as a substitute. I just don't think any of them out there right now could fill the same niche as Tribe does.

Please, Tribe, don't go away. But if you do, I'll probably start reading books more in my spare time. The computer will become something I use only for work.

I would be devastated because I would loose the space I talk to so many of the people I met on tribe. .but like any set back in life - I would get over it..

There are some people I have met who unsubbed and I still talk to via e-mail. .but it is not the same because it lacks the synergy and life of participation in groups who add to the discussion by bringing humour and different points of view. Also, if tribe disappeared - the many friends I have here (which is not confined to my "friends list") would scatter and I could not find them in the one place.. that happened with the Ning episode some time ago.. it was horrible to see different friends encourage me to four or five cyber spaces . .I would simply not be able to keep up with that many sites..

Don't scare me Jay with this talk of tribe doing under.. !

Someone please hug me.. I am traumatised !
