Libel or defamation seems to be a reoccuring complaint on Tribe.net.

And the supposed victims claim all kinds of psychological effect.

This is actually easier to deal with than you may think.

1. Deny the allegations. And by that, I mean, just say "I deny that." Deny does not mean post 1,000 words in your defense. A simple "I deny that" will do.

2. Demand proof from your accuser.

3. If no proof is forthcoming, demand a retraction from your accuser. If there is proof, well, I guess you haven't been defamed, have you? Stop. You are done. But if the "proof" is just more lies and defamation, proceed to next step.

4. If no retraction is forthcoming, determine if you have suffered any real, monetary harm. If not, forget about it. Ignore it. If anyone brings it up, just refer them to the link where you denied it and demanded proof.

5. If you have suffered actual monetary damages of say, at least five figures, and can prove these damages. consider hiring a lawyer.

6. Mind the statute of limitations. It is one year in California.
