If tribe.net goes out of business, which I speculate is a possibility in 2008, what will be the psychological impact on all the thousands of people who are addicted to it?

Sat, March 1, 2008 - 7:58 PMI was on another internet-based community back in the mid 90s. It petered out after about 8 or 9 years, but it was gradual enough that it didn't hurt much. And all of the people who liked one another (including two of my BEST real life pals, now) connected in other ways, so we didn't lose touch. Hopefully, Tribe will also go slowly enough, or we'll all be wise enough to get one another's contact info before the fall : ).

I hadn't noticed anything out of (his) ordinary MO, but I guess we'll just have to wait the 4 or 5 days until he shows up again to find out what happpened.

However I would just have to go to other forums which are not as specialized as here in Tribe. Stumble Upon is interesting and has a few forums, seems mainly a place to store favorite sites and post pictures. There is a local TV news and comments forum, Martha Stewart, HGTV, at Live VIdeo I have 91 friends at but mostly just to get notified of their new vids and I make a comment or two.
