monty python?

Okay, who here loves Monty Python? Every time that I see "bring outcher dead," I just can't stop thinking of it. I'm pretty sure it was The Meaning of Life, but I could be wrong. But the whole thing is crazy. I'm exceptionally susceptible to "ear worms" or whatever you want to call it. I get stuff stuck in my head and it won't go away. Does that make me weird?

Just seeing the subject on that thread has me hearing "Calling Mr. Death" and "Spam, spam, spam, spam" and, of course, "No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!" There are plenty more and they are all incessantly floating around in my brain, thanks.

Funny story... When I did a semester in Prague with a bunch of international students, there was one British guy and for the first week or so, our entire conversation was nothing but Monty Python quotes. "Just one more mint, sir. It's just a tiny, little wafer" - before the giant guy explodes in the restaurant.

Am I the only one? I know most Americans just don't get the British humor, but I absolutely love it. It's so subtle, silly yet intelligent. I laugh until I cry and sometimes even pee myself. Heehee!

So, come on, share your favorite lines! From Monty or anyone else. What makes you laugh and do other people share it with you?

i was raised on these guys ... australia and england share more than just a queen, our senses of humour are very very interwined and similar; blacker than tar, more cutting than a knife, and sarcastic as hell!

    it's alllll good !!! :D

and yes, it makes you weird ... which makes you ROCK!

and thank you for starting a new thread! phew ... i was trying to think of something as well ...

great minds heather, great minds ;)

I think we were talking about this somewhere else...I gave my son a stuffed Killer Rabbit for Christmas. Last year it was a stuffed Black Knight with Velcro limbs that you could rip off, leaving bloody stumps. Gotta raise the boy up right :)

My famiy makes a great spam salad, which we call knickerbocker. It's ground spam with onion, sweet pickles, hard-boiled eggs and Miracle Whip; It turns out to make a lovely spread for bread or crackers. I have no idea where it came from, probably depression or WWII origination, with a good bit of Pennsylvania Dutch influence.. but it is soooo good. I probably make it once or twice a year and I doubt it is particuarly healthy, but ya just gotta love it. I even bought the grinder attachment for my Kitchenaide mixer - and I'm seriously thinking about the pasta attachment, too. Yes, I'm Betty - as in Betty Crocker, goddess of the kitchen. Anyway, just had to share.
