makes me happy. I know the problems we face are complicated and require investment of time and energy and sustained personal commitment. But every now and then I get down and I really need to read some good news.
Today on Treehugger I found a link to a renewable energy potential map of the US. Then found another page on that site that gave some profiles of what's being accomplished in just a few states. There is a switchgrass processing plant scheduled to open this year in Tennessee. This plant will also use wood chips and other waste from logging and sawmill operations (stuff we usually throw away in a landfill).
Good news that I needed to read today.
Not affiliated with the site at all... just like it.
