Hey guys! I have a begonia houseplant that has an absurdly rapid growth rate. It seems to have grown some white fuzzy mold on the top of the soil. I just noticed a strange light yellow MUSHROOM over the mold!!! What is this? Is it poison? Must I KILL IT? I have to know. I'm fascinated!
Thanks, friends.

Re: funny yellow mushroom
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 1:49 PMI don't know the actual type, but looked it up once and found it to be harmless to the plant (and isn't fit for human ingestion), sourced primarily via what potting soil is comprised of.
I don't know of any mushrooms that actually harm your plants. -

Fri, October 23, 2009 - 2:19 AMI did some research myself and became very excited about it! I guess it just means I have some very healthy soil and a great conversation piece! I show my mushroom off to all my friends that come over. :)
