First I would like to say thanks to everyone who was involved in the Beat Symposium last Sunday. Even though we were busted for not having the right permits and had to cancel or dj performances I am so proud that everyone who still showed up made the best of a beautiful day. This is not the end of us doing parties it is just a lesson learned.

The logo is done and the new web site is coming.....

Hey Everyone.
As you can see I've been very busy trying to create a new logo and site for the phamily gathering. The wait is over and the new logo is complete. In a week or so the new site will be as well. Now I know I have been a bit separated from this tribe but classes and life has taken it toll and my attention for a long time. But please remember that the phamily gathering is my baby and my life. I have not forgotten all who have participated. In the next week stay posted to the new site and please remember that you can post anything you want to the site. What ever your art is send it to me and I will add it to the site. I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for being apart of the Phamily and let you know that you haven't seen anything yet. This summer is going to be a blast and the Phamily will represent in full effect. Hey Everyone,

Radio Explore is alive and has its own address radioexplore.org. Check it out and please send your music and poetry. Also I am looking for someone in Chicago to broadcast live to the radio explore server. At the moment we have live shows from Honolulu and San Francisco. St. Louis is on its way and will start transmissions soon thanks to Dino. Please let me know if there are any takers that would like to have their own show. Our listeners are from more then 20 countries and last month we have had over 500 hits. Every month it grows and with more cities representing the larger the audience will become. I am very thankful for the help from so many with this station. I look forward to a lasting tradition of quality music, art, and friendships.

Ooah makes his NYC debut at Sub Swara 010

The Sub Swara crew is back from the West Coast and ready to get back to bizness at the Sullivan Room on July 20th! We've got buckets of new sounds that we can't wait to share with you all. Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to say hi and wish everyone a great summer. This was one of the hardest semesters yet for me and I apologize for not being able to keep up with the tribe as much as I would have liked but I am very grateful for the people who have contributed to the Phamily Gathering in the past months. I am proud to say that Radio Explore will continue to be broadcasting live from both Honolulu and San Francisco in the coming weeks thanks to Loic Tambay and Ernie K for holding down the Hawaiian scene while I move to San Francisco and set up shop. It feels great to be growing as a phamily with all of you and bringing together so many amazing and artistic people. The future is anything we make of it and with the friends we have around us we can do anything we set our minds to. I am also proud to say that I will be returning to this years burning man with my beautiful wife Juliet and would love to chill with all of you who may be attending this year as well. I wish everyone a great summer and good luck with all of your endeavors.

For those who have joined recently The Phamily Gathering is a collaboration between friends. Hey Phamily,

I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I've been on vacation to England and Switzerland for the past two weeks. An amazing journey I will never forget from the English countryside to the depths of the celebration for Albert Hoffmans 100 birthday. May I say it was an honor to meet the lovely and most generous people of England and the eclectic bunch at the convention in Basel Switzerland.

Now that I am home and refreshed I am going to be working very hard on the Phamily Gathering. The radio broadcasts are in the works so please stay tuned and thanks for being so patient. I would also like to say thank you to everyone who has been contributing to our tribe. We have a great group of people and it is a pleasure and an honor to be apart of something so positive for all of us.

We are in the process of taking one of two avenues to bring internet radio to the gathering. One is thru Oseao.com or to get the software to broadcast straight from our own site. No matter what one will happen very soon so if there is anyone who would like to have their music, poetry, or anything that can be broadcasted by audio on air please feel free to send your info to radio@phamilygathering.com. We encourage djs, bands, songwriters, and spoken word artists to feel welcome to use Phamily Gathering Radio as a vehicle to get your art out. We are all about giving underground artists a home to express themselves in a true and free fashion. We have a great community among us so let put out there what makes us who we are.

A message to the Indigo souls.

An anonymous message that found us and now you.

If, when you are reading this, you feel a comfort and a resonance - a feeling of identity with these words - then, regardless of your earth age, this message is written for you.

The color indigo is a cross between violet and blue. It's the color of your 3rd
eye charka, (an energy wheel that is located between your eyebrows). When your 3rd eye is activated and open, you rely more on your intuition than you do on your intellect.

Each soul who comes to Earth must first petition Spirit. Once accepted, you
write your own sacred contract with Spirit. You then descend in a spiral -
riding a ray of light. The ray of light you rode, the "vibration", was indigo.

The indigo ray souls have a very specific purpose here on Earth. It is an
indigo's job to help raise humanity's and the Earth's vibration to one of pure
love. The tools, your gifts, which you carried with you on this journey, are
your intuition, your sensitivity, your loving and caring heart, your feelings of
being special and connected to the Earth, and a natural, incredible amount of
knowledge, well beyond your years.

Most likely, you have been s_ _ _ disturbers - (the writer knows you will fill
in the blanks here). Most likely, you have given your parents and guardians and all authority figures some food for thought ... Most likely, you are not
understood by many people as you do not "fit" into their vision of how one
should think and act and be ... "Like me or not, this is who I Am", you say.
Often, you will be highly sensitive to your environment. You will not be at your best if you feed on a steady diet of refined or bio-engineered foods.

If some or all of this sounds like you, or someone you know, read on...

Unlike most of humanity, your 3rd eye, your intuition, is completely functioning (unless you have chosen to shut it down). You may see, hear or sense that there are beings around you in other dimensions. You may see colored lights around people. This may frighten you, especially when you learn that others do not have this ability. You are likely so sensitive to your environment that you may choose to "tune out", particularly when you experience and witness fear in the form of addictive behavior, violence and anything which has a vibration which is less than love.

Where you came from, dear one, is a place of pure, divine love. It is a shock to your system to be parachuted into a place so filled with fear - particularly
when your third eye is open, and you are able to read the true thoughts and
feelings of others. Remember, though, your job here is to assist humanity and the Earth. That is your task. That is your sacred contract. You are here to assist in the re-balancing of humans and the planet, back to the love vibration.

Yes, it is a daunting task. We encourage you to wake up and feel your divinity, and the divinity within everything around you. Once you do, you will understand and know that you are here for a higher purpose...and the Earth can't do this without your help.

Start now, dear soul, by choosing the nutrition that your body, your vehicle,
requires in order to function at its optimum. After all, you are not any
ordinary vehicle - you are Indigo! So you naturally require special fuel, for
'peak performance!' (You know this!!) A reminder then, to drink plenty of fresh, pure water. Give up the refined sugars and starches. Choose whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables, home grown if possible, organically grown if your intuition says that they will provide you with the vitamins and minerals your body requires. Caffeine, refined sugar, flour (which is devoid of nutrition), alcohol and tobacco, as well as chemical drugs are addictive. (You know this too!) Consuming these things scatters your energies and robs you of your gifts. Love yourself by consuming only the very best foods with the highest vibration, just like you... Show the way for others by choosing this. No need to force it on others. Just demonstrate gently, by doing it for
yourself.

For a time, until you are able to remain in the love vibration at all times,
stay as far away from the TV and the violent video games as possible. This goes for negative people, also. Learn to bathe everyone and everything including yourself with violet light. (Violet has a cleansing effect on negativity). You do not want to anaesthetize your feelings, or "shut down" - honor your feelings and know the difference between what feels like love and what feels like fear. Stay in your truth. Allow everything, which is not your truth, to simply fall away as though it were invisible.

Another word here about drugs besides the obvious. There is no high like the
high you experience when you get a hit of divine love. Once you connect with
this divine love, there's nothing better for your body or your soul. Try it.
You'll love it!

You may feel like you are all alone, that no one could possibly feel as you do.
This is not the case, even though your present situation or environment may make you feel this way. Indigos are everywhere! You will find them by pursuing things that you feel passionate about. If you are considered to be extremely active,
channel this activity into sports. Your body needs to move and be active. If you are creative in any way, sign up for some courses. You will meet others like yourself there. If you are more than a little bit compassionate for your fellow man, the creatures of the earth, or the Earth herself, then take some courses in Reiki or another form of healing. Volunteer your services at hospitals and community centers...(you know what to do). There is so much good work that you can do. By taking this action, you will absolutely connect with your divinity, with your passion and with others who are of like mind, who have the same sacred contract as you. Once you re-remember
how to heal and deal with life in your own 3rd dimensional body, you can show others how it's done. You are a "way-shower"! Your task is not an easy one, but if it were, you wouldn't have volunteered to come here. You asked - demanded - this assignment. Only the most courageous and the most majestic of you were chosen to assist Earth at this time in her evolution. Where you come from, you are honored and treated like royalty, Indigo, for that is indeed what you are. Yes, I know it's quite a shock to be treated this way on Earth, isn't it!

Take heart, child of light and pure heart. Your years here are mere milliseconds in the higher dimensions. Your journey may seem long and difficult and without purpose or dignity. You may simply just want to go home. But I encourage you to remember who you are, and what you agreed to do here. You are a perfect, precious shining indigo jewel, chosen by your Creator to do what humans have, as yet, been unable to do for themselves - create heaven on Earth!

Have faith that you and your Indigo brothers and sisters will succeed. And
always, always trust your intuition.

What do you guys think about live streaming music on our website?

First, I would like to welcome everyone who has joined the tibe in the past weeks. Our numbers are growing and it is a great feeling to be able to bring together such a talented and special group of people. My hope is to bring artists together and make possible the collaberations that can make our artistic dreams come true.

Anyways I had a idea to bring to the phamily gathering website the ability to stream live music. I would like to have a day where we can brodcast music made by the artists on the site and the members of our tribe. It does cost me money but I am willing to put it up if there are dj's and musicians that are willing to have thier stuff played. I just wanted to get some feed back from you guys to see if this is a veture worth going into. So if you are a poet, dj, or musician that wants to be apart of a music broadcast on the internet please let me know.

Thanks for the shitty thanksgiving Pipeline Honolulu, Hawaii

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to tell you guys a story that happened to me yesterday. After having a killer day spinning records with Loic and Ernie I was looking forward to checking out a club in Honolulu called the Pipeline. I had never been before and had never seen Paul Brandon play. So because I am so damn adventures I decided to go despite the bad reviews I had heard from friends. So just like any other night on my way to a party I put on my nice wide dancing pants and my brand new dark blue hoodie. There is something about putting on a pair of phat pants that tuns on a switch in myself and turns me into a boogie machine. Just like the bell bottoms in the disco era and the cowboy hat in a country line dance the phat pants and hoodie will always be a part of the dance music culture no matter what modern-day society wants it to be.

Any ways back to the story. So the line was around the building but I was meeting friends there and still looked forward to at least going in for a bit and hopefully after checking out a beach party. So after waiting in line for an hour with my friends we finally get to the front of the line. As we are being let in the door man stops the line right with me in front so I get separated from my friends. No big deal but then he makes me wait in line at the front for 10 minuets more. Finally he decides to open the gate and takes another look at me after he has been looking at me for the past 10 minuets and says you are not getting in with that shirt and immediately makes me get out of line and wont let me back in after I have already paid 15 dollars for a pre-sale ticket. I know this might sound stupid to the average person but this meant a lot to me as I have made dance music and the culture my life. It is to me my vehicle to express myself not only as a dj but also as a dancer. Yes I might dress like the typical raver but isn't that a slice of the culture. Since when was wearing phat pants and a hoodie a crime. All it is is a fun way to dress that accentuates the movements and style of dancing I do when I hear dance music. To me I live for the party and I always set forth a positive energy to every event. I go to be apart of the experience and to show the dj and audience how much I love and appreciate the moments on the dance floor.

So as I left the line I walked to the car and just laughed but deep inside I felt a bit hurt because for all the years I have put into the dance music scene I never thought I would not be let in because of my cloths or what type of person I may represent. I know it is under the discretion of the club to let in who he wants but when they have a rave with a 100,000 dollar light show and two rooms with 10 djs and not expect some one to show up with phat pants and a free loving attitude thats bullshit. The pipeline is not that nice of a club. I come from Chicago and I know a fancy club when I see one and I know when to dress up and when I shouldn't. I was not the only one looking like I did but yet I was the only one I saw to not be let in.

For a second I thought of taking off my shirt and trying it again but I thought to myself that for everything I have ever stood up for in life would of not have mattered if I went back to that club. Damn it, there are places for people like me to go and that night it was the beach. Thanks to who ever is up there that Hawaii has some of the best beaches in the world and some of the coolest and most real people. Because for all the asshole doormen that are out there there are those dedicated souls that work very hard to put on the events that let people of all types and colors to experience freely and enjoy the true essence of what a party really is.

So in conclusion Paul Brandon if you get a chance to read this and if you don't want people like me to come to your shows then why are you playing at all? I know you had no control but damn brotha what happened to respecting the music and the culture that made dance music what it is today. Stand up to free self expression no matter what it is because if we don't then nothing would be worth it.

I wrote this rant to just give people a look into a slice of the night life that should always be know for what it truly is and that is a waist of time and money because money and control is all they want.

I KNOW ALOT OF YOU PROBABLY LIVE IN CHICAGO ! i'm from canada, up north, and i'm coming down for a few days and REAALLY want to buy a new pair of CRAAZY boots !! <winnipeg is pretty tame when it comes to electric alternative fashion> on the bigger picture, where are the TRULY alternative areas of the city where i might find strange/esoteric clothing, music, kulture kommunity... you know... if you read this please write back quick cuz i leave in a few days

I just wantedd to put the word out about the new webpage for www.phamilygathering.com. I also would like to thank you all for being apart of the tribe and comminity. There has been some great artists that have joined since the opening and all are welcome to do the same. Our dream is to build a community of artists and friends to support and inspire each other to make our deams come true. Kozmik Tzunami is a television program on Channel 52 (Fridays @ Midnight), which bills itself as "a tidal wave of images and ideas". The program has been drawing on art, philosophy, music, politics, and the pursuit of bliss for the last year and a half.

From a content standpoint the show has featured some of the following material:

Ooklah the Moc
European trance festivals
Hip Hop artist Medussa
Honolulu Psytrance parties
Star Spangled Bloodbath (performance art)
Antiwar Footage
Country Music in the Phillipines

The show also features avant garde, multimedia segments fusing music and video and various interviews with artists and activists. Anyone interested in submiting segments or helping out with editing or camera, please give me a call or write back.

Back fom Kalalau Trail.......

Hey Everyone,

I'm back from a crazy trip on the Kalalau Trail on the Na Pali Coast in Kauai. This was the most intence and most beautiful time and place I have ever been. I would recumend this trip for only the most adventurous and daring. A truly magical place to explore and go back in time to when nature ruled man and the mountain peaks were gods. I have a slide show of pictures on the phamily gathering website.

If anyone comes to Hawaii and wants to get away and push themselves to the limits in one of the most beautiful places in the world then The Kalalau Trail is the place to be. Including the side trips the trail is just about 28 to 30 miles round trip. All the way in are beautiful waterfalls and breath taking beaches. Kalalau Beach is truly a magical land and one of the most energy filled places I have ever been. I can only dream of one day returning to the mighty shores.

So please enjoy the slide show and if anyone ever decides to go you can ask any questions you want. I would love to help.

I would also love to thank everyone for joining the Phamily Gathering tribe and I would like to welcome all those who have joined in the recent days. Is anyone not going to Burning Man?

Hey Phamily,

I am sad to say this year I am not going to be able to attend Burning Man but I was wondering if there is anyone in Oahu that would like to have a burn gathering to celebrate here on the island. Anyone who has been and can't go knows how it sucks to not be able to so gathering up all the groovy people still left here world be great. Let me know if anyone would like to plan such a event. I am open to anything but I don't have a place to do it. Let me know.
